The Never Enders by Michael Sonbert
All you guys know Im a whore for buying books and I saw this one advertised here about a week ago. Its called The Never Enders by Michael Sonbert and I absolutely loved it. Not only will I recomend it I plan on grabbing a few more copies and sending it out to my favourite fellow bookworms.
Im not going to offer a review of the book since the amount of times I read up about things on Amazon and it gave too much away but I will say this book reminds me a bit of Will Chrisopher Baer. Im really not exagerating but the main character reminded me so much of myself pre Rehab days that at times it was scary.
If anyone has read it or wants to share a bit more this is the thread for it. Im all for supporting Debut authors.
Happy reading!
Actually Plan B if you buy this book and dont enjoy it I will send you another book instead. How about that?
I'll have to look into this.
Thanks for the recommendation!
Get the sugar. Get the sugar. Get the sugar.
it actually landed at my door step about a week and a half ago, but i'm just finishing up "kiss me, Judas" i didn't know what to expect. i myself am also a fiend for buying books. and records. and cds. so, from the advert on here i bought it. and now i'm actually looking forward to it.
I don't think i ever did look into this!
I should do so soonishly if i remember this time.
i can't fucking believe there are like 250 views of this damn threadand only four, now five, replies. dismal. y'all should be ashamed of yourselves. this is why te damn book club doesn't work.
i'm gonna go ahead and try and start up a discussion on this book again. it really is a fantastic book, and it's worth everyone here reading it. it seems readers are more insecure about their ideas then writers, because we can't get anyone in here talking about their own personal theories and ideas and what they think about what happened, etc etc.
i just recently read this book again, maybe two days ago. i had to do a night shift to make up some hours because i had some time off, and i wanted to take a book that i could knock out in the night. this was it. it's fast paced and thrilling. i really dig it.
a discussion topic: did anyone else get the feeling that Ocean and Jimmy played off each other, and acted towards Perry, in a kind of good angel/bad angel way? i really got that, and all through the book, for me, it hints at something very dark, almost supernatural (maybe), something sinister. that may have been sonbert's intention in creating the madness that laid inside Perry's mind, and not meant to be anything more. but i can't help speculate upon this.
any of you lot got any ideas on this subject. and damn, feel free to add something yourself.

I second the recommendation.
Sonbert let me know that he was checking out my book so I looked into his...and I agree wholeheartedly...very good shit.
