The Lost Symbol by Dan Brown
So far i'm about 100 pages in and so far the book has been a huge disappointment, the writing is extremely cheesy. Don't wast your money
i heard he ends some chapters with exclamation points.
My mom's reading it, she thinks it's disappointing too. I haven't read it yet.
thanks for sharing.blackhawk tactical pants.

Im glad there is a thread about this. I got it today at my local bookstore just to see what its all about. Since I read so much the gave me a Bumper Bonus pack, the book for half price, a Tshirt, postcards, book marks and three other books. One book I will give to my Mums friend and the other two are some sort of Twilight wannabes so I will send them off to a certain Cultie who likes sparkly vampires and unicorns etc.
I put the Lost Symbol on my Must Read shelf and it looks out of place with all the others.
yes i'm surprised he doesn't put a hole bunch of them together like some teenage girl on cocaine!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
yeah.. no intention there. dan brown, i'm cool.

I was really into Dan Brown like 4 years ago(when I was 14). But after reading Chuck, his books seem so stupid. I was surprised when my best friend(who I got into Chuck) said he was gonna pick it up. I wasn't planning on buying but I'll probably borrow it.

I wonder if it ends the same way as his previous books. They all kind of have the same ending. I was able to guess who the bad guy was, since it's allways the least evil character who tries to "help" the most.
"Someone must have slandered Josef K., for one morning, without having done anything truly wrong, he was arrested."
"Jemand musste Josef K. verleumdet haben, denn ohne dass er etwas Böses getan hätte, wurde er eines Morgens verhaftet"
His books all start with the main character asleep, being woken up by like a phone call or something. The phone call tells them to meet somebody. That person then tells them that something impossible has just happened. Blah blah blah, people die, good guys are really bad guys, Jesus had a baby, yada yada yada. Then at the end, the main male character and the main female character always have sex. ALWAYS!

i'm reading it, and it is a bit cheesy, but I'm ok with that. i like it because I was in DC for Inauguration, and in May, and it's set in January, and I can just relate to the city. I love DC, and Mason stuff is fun, and I'm not taking it all that seriously, i'm just reading it, ok??

I'ma get if for my mom. She likes his stuff. And also likes cheap romance novels.

that is true now that i think about it i haven't read very many of his books but that is the exact story line of this book.
(sneaky fuckin' cripples)
i'm not sure if ill get that far the only reason i'm still reading it is so it wasn't a wast of $30.
well. he found his formula and stuck by it didn't he. that's kind of what people expected of chuck to some degree with FC, IM, Survivor. right?
how fucked would've that been.
How fucked would what have been?
