I just wanted to thank all the wonderful people who have contributed to this book club over the years. It's b/c of you guys and girls that my love of books has become so much better and more diverse over the years. I've become a better person b/c of you people. You've introduced me to House of Leaves, Craig Clevenger, Cormac McCarthy, Neil Gaimon, and too many others than I can remember. When I read a great book, I pass it along. And the people I pass it along to do the same. I really do appreciate all the greatness that comes from this place. You people are the best. From the bottom of my heart, thank you all. ~Dann

I'm going to assume you're talking directly to me because I'm the Book Club mod.

You're Welcome!

haha

Actually though, this is a nice post. I feel pretty much the same way. And that's why I'm proud to be involved with the Cult. I've found more amazing authors through this site than I would have ever found on my own.

This is what I thought Pete said.

I'm going to assume you're talking dirty to me because I'm the Book Club god.

I don't usually participate in the book club but I've gotten most of my reading suggestions off people on this site... plus new and old threads. And Pete is awesome for keeping it all going.

And either statement would have been right. Actually, and time you mention me - I picture you talking dirty. So there's that. Wink

I was going to say in my Book Club voice "Thank you very much, man", but Pete already took all the credit, tsk!

He was obviously Drunk-Book-Clubbing.

But sometimes, when I read a book or consider reading a book, I look for old threads here that talk about it. It's one of the nerdier things I do.

For the first time ever in my history, I sigged someone. I only do this because you recommended it and I have nothing there at the moment.

Nice. Very amusing. Labelleza is full of clever wit, she alway makes me smile, I seem to be promoting her a bunch recently. ARE YOU CREEPED OUT YET JES?

One of these months I should participate in the book club.

I must've been projecting. Seriously though, you are aces and I don't think you get nearly enough credit for it.

I too have to thank the book club as well as 'the Cult.' Because of it I have discovered a new world of reading and thinking. The more I read, the more I discover there is soooo! much I don't know or have not yet experienced. And without this club I would not have found 'The Pilo Family Circus' and gone and done this to myself (profile pic). What a blast! I went to the drugstore like this last night. Kids thought it was cool, adults thought it was creepy. Will Elliott is right though. Once you put the face paint on, you become a different person. Showtime!
