Raging bull Memoir Vs. Movie

The movie is arguably a classic, a fantasitc, fantastic one. But has anyone read Jake LaMotta's memoir? How is that?

I'm thinking about reading it but I hope the book itself concerns the scenes in the movie, such as life and redemption stufF. Or it's Martin Scorcese's genius? I read wiseguy (Goodfellas is based on), casino (casino movie is based on), but none of them is as good.

Please reply if you have any idea.
