Nightrious!! Daniel Woodrell
Jesus Christ, man, I just finished Winter's Bone. I'm going on a really long walk now in the cold up and down some hills.
I'll read another one of his books, probably all of them, but I need to pace myself if this is what I can expect from a Daniel Woodrell novel.
Thanks though, and I hope you're not hating xmas too much today.
I actually don't know because I've just read the one. Maybe people inclined to long walks are inclined towards Woodrell. Or maybe its a chicken and egg quandary.
Anyway, it was a nice walk. A popcorn walk. That's when I walk to the theatre by my house and get a popcorn, then walk around eating it. It's especially nice this time of year because of all the lights. I got butter all over my mittens though.
Shit, I just noticed this. Sorry, Mirka. Glad you enjoyed Winter's Bone, though. There are good reads to come, but I have to admit he's at the top of his game in Winter's Bone. But The Death of Sweet Mister might be just as good, but different. His darkest novel, for sure. And The Ones You Do is just fun. Winter's Bone, though, yeah, my favorite for sure.
I could have PM'd you, but I wanted to make a thread so more people might be interested and take a look at him.
The Death of Sweet Mister is such an excellent title. I'll try that one next.

so daniel woodrell novels make people want to walk a lot, i take it?
