Also check out our video interview with Dave Cullen. He's a lurker here every so often.

Just started Where Men Win Glory: The Odyssey of Pat Tilman by Jon Krakauer ...in addition to all the ones I haven't had time to finish yet.
Tuffy the Dump Truck may rarely increase the risk of a heart attack or stroke. The risk may be greater if you have heart disease or increased risk for heart disease (for example, due to smoking, family history of heart disease, or conditions such as high blood pressure or diabetes), or with longer use. Tuffy should not be taken right before or after heart bypass surgery. Also, Tuffy may infrequently cause serious (rarely fatal) bleeding from the stomach or intestines. This effect can occur without warning symptoms at any time while taking Tuffy. Older adults may be at higher risk for this effect. (See also Precautions and Drug Interactions sections.) Stop taking Tuffy and get medical help right away if you notice any of the following rare but serious side effects: bloody or black/tarry stools, persistent stomach/abdominal pain, vomit that looks like coffee grounds, chest/jaw/left arm pain, shortness of breath, unusual sweating, weakness on one side of the body, sudden vision changes, slurred speech. Ask your doctor if Tuffy is right for you.
Tuff - Mirka loved that book (if I remember right). I've been meaning to get that. I love Krakauer's writing. Let us know what you think when you're done.
It may be a while, but will do.

I've got about 100 pages left and what a frustrating read! I keep wanting to smack Bronson in the face and yell Noooooooo! I want the best for him, but I don't think he wants/wanted that.
So... Charles Bronson is a tragicomic literary figure in Norway...
Weird.

I wasn't aware there were several.
Discovering the Maltese Falcon and Sam Spade : possibly the best book ever written on Dashiell Hammett and his works

Just finished up The Savage Detectives by Roberto Bolano and am re-reading some Sherlock Holmes stories before I dive into anything else.
There is hope, but not for us.
I loved this book. I saw the picture you posted on Facebook of your garage sale purchases; you bought a really nice copy! Mine's ancient and was bought from a library.
EDIT: I forgot to put what I'm reading...I'm still on Cry, the Beloved Country but I bought Lolita over the weekend. I really want to start it now; it's been on my reading list for such a long time.

Lolita is one of my favorites!!
The wording is beautiful.
As for what I'm reading...
I'm finishing up Click by Kristopher Young.
I think this weekend I'll finally pick up The Contortionists Handbook by Craig Clevenger.
I'm reading TCH finally. It helps that copies aren't $40 anymore.
Thanks BPL and PGoutis01.
I like hearing that.
Writer, author of Columbine. The rest of my crap: Columbine intro video, Columbine Online research site and Columbine Teacher’s Guide.
I loved it, too. It's probably around #5 on my all-time favorites list.
I read it just as I was re-conceiving my book, and he gave me the confidence to plunge ahead with ten storylines. I figured that if he could do that . . .

Are you thanking just for buying the book? I haven't responded neither positively or negatively to it?

I have Columbine on my shelf, I reckon I'll read it next because it's cool the author posted. Innit.
Right now I'm reading JP Smythe 'Hereditation'. It's another one I think The Cult would love, very witty and a bit gross.
I Havent Dreamed of Flying for a While by Taichi Yamada. I love this guys books.
Ha! But don't be mean, but ha! also.
Fiesta: The Sun Also Rises - Ernest Hemingway
Swapped The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo (only read three pages, but that was enough) for it with a work colleague. I feel that I made the right decision.
I need that book.

I gave up on that book last night, i made it almost 200 pages. I wanted to like it but i couldn't.
I'm glad you're liking it. That is one of my all time favorite books. I've read it too many times to count.

James and The Giant Peach by Roald Dahl.
You can get it cheap now that MacAdam/Cage gave it another print run.
Thank god they did or I'd feel guilty about not sharing my copy, which I don't want to do.
ITs $9 on Amazon.

I think I'd be better off ordering it from a Norwegian book store's website, since I wouldn't have to pay for shipping.

I should know you live over there, shouldn't I?

We don't really know eachother, so no.
Is you avatar John Baizley's work?

Sarah Court by Craig Davidson.
yeah, everyone needs That book. And then after it, you need Dermaphoria because it's even better! The man runs a tight ship. His prose is as close to flawless as it gets. Every single word is scritinised and accounted for. The man's a maniac in the best possible way.
What did you think of it?
I didn't love it. Maybe I just didn't get it. It took me a fucking long time to read (about a month) and there were so many characters, like dozens. Two main characters, about whom I feel I understood nothing, and were generally interchangable.
I don't think South American literature is really my thing. This novel definitely had atmosphere, but at the end of it I had no idea what it was trying to say. Why did I read you, 648 page novel about Mexican poets?
Anyway, Phil recommended it to me, so many he can shed light on the subject that I cannot.
There is hope, but not for us.
Yeah, I read it last year and I really didn't think that much of it. Some of the chapters were extremely well written, and others were like reading a phone book.. in the end it seemed like a lot of work (by both the author and the reader) to not really get anywhere. I like some of Bolano's poetry a lot, and I have a copy of 2666 here waiting to be read, but The Savage Detectives really sapped my enthusiasm to start reading a book that's a further 300 or so pages long.
You people have no souls.

So should I read 2666, or no?
If you didn't love The Savage Detectives, you won't like 2666, I think — it's not even finished. But I love both and so do people with SOULS!
