Malice in Blunderland
Hi all. Massive chuck fan here. Found this site while looking for any more books by Paul Neilan actually (seems he's only done apathy). I was wondering if any of you know of or have heard of if there is a release date for Malice in Blunderland, by Jonny Gibbings (he is militia who wrote the bulldog 3some stuff).
Just there is so little out there like 'Apathy and other small victories' and I seem to read Chucks work over and over (Just on Diary again, was my least fave, but now on my 3rd read and loving it more each time).
The only writer I can't read is Irvine Welsh - I can't read the Scottish-ness, working it out huts my head. A bit like Clockwork orange did!
Thanks!
No offense taken. simply it's hard to find stuff to read like the stuff I like if that makes sense. You read a lot of recommends and lots of it is shit. I find I re-buy lots of Chucks stuff, because you lend it out and it doesn't come back. Often I will take a punt at the 'also bought' and they are shit. Actually, that reminds me, does it piss you off when you lend out a book and find others didn't like it. For me, the best by a long way is Choke. The anal beads bit made me piss myself on the tube in London. My mate didn't like it at all!
Apathy was funny but short. Anyways - the stuff about Malice in Blunderland, I read some of his stuff on MSW and it was so funny. There was loads of chatter about a book then nothing since.
i used to pay attention to reviews but found out most of the time reviews donot mean anything from someone i dont know. even people i know really well have reviews that are inaccurate to my opinion. As far as Irving Welsh, try reading a few chapters out loud to yourself if you cant pick up the dialect in your head. it helped me get through Trainspotting. after a while it became natural. its gard for me to pick a fav pahahnuik book. there are so many good ones. i think HAUNTED and Lullaby are near the top though
it never got weird enough for me
Guess it's a yes then:

His blog is funny too!
Holy fucking shit - that's me! WHOAAA!
Big, BIG chuck fan too (even referenced fight club in the book) as well as some other subtle nots that fans of Haunted/Choke and fightclub will get. Crazy.
I'm not going to post or link or all that shit, not a spammer. But thanks for putting me in such lofty company (could do without the pressure!!!)
Comparing the book to I Hope They Serve Beer In Hell isn't going to help you I don't think. lol
But, hey, what do I know.
Keep us updated about the release.
Know what you mean about the Tucker Max shit. Not me, the publishers. Trouble is, they have no reference point for this stuff - they are a bit high brow, and I am true trash. Have a read of the taster - value the opinion of Chuckophiles, There is a massive fightclub homage in the book.
Taster thing: http://www.book2look.com/vBook.aspx?id=BPc3Tx2VKT&euid=7725904&ruid=0&re...
I am getting a fair bot of shit from my publisher, as they send be to these book/author things, and a lot of people there are so far up their own ass.
Blog... if anyone is interested...

“...There are so many ways of being despicable it quite makes one's head spin. But the way to be really despicable is to be contemptuous of other people's pain. You ought to have some apprehension that the man you see before you was once even younger than you are now and arrived at his present wretchedness by imperceptible degrees.”
