Junot Diaz wins the Pulitzer
I think we all knew that either Denis Johnson or Junot Diaz would win this year. At least we were all pulling for them. And they were both the releases of the year in Fiction... besides Chuck of course!
Well Junot Diaz won for his newest book The Brief and Wondrous Life of Oscar Wao.
There's a nice interview of him here - OMNIVORACISOUS
Enjoy!
P.S. - I did search to put this with the thread I started about his newest book - but I can't figure out the search function on the new site apparently...
Polite applause please ladies n gentlemen.
There are no pacts between lions and men.
I read Drown by him earlier in the year and I loved it. I cant wait to start his latest.
Congrats.
I frigging adore Junot Diaz. I read a story of his, "Nilda" a bunch of years ago, in the New Yorker. Soon after, Drown was published, and I read it. This year, my boss gave me The Brief Wondrous Life of Oscar Wao for Christmas. If you haven't read any Diaz, you are doing yourself a disservice.

There is hope, but not for us.
Does he get mad when people call him Junior instead of Junot? Because I do.
Do you pronouce the T in Junot?
I figured it was a silent T

never read it but good for him nonetheless.
