Ju-On, Japanese Grudge and I am reading
I'm re-reading the Sookie Stackhouse books. My brain is too mushy for anything else.
110 pages of A Slice of the Mind. It's really grand.
Gone For Good by Harlan Coben. Very good so far.
Who is it by?
Oh, it's Phil's book in progress.
Just finished Flashover. Man, it was a good read. I hope we get a good discussion going at LR. I can't wait to see what other people think of it.
Starting Cataclysm Baby by Matt Bell now.
Seduction of the Minotaur by Anais Nin.
Finished Cataclysm Baby. It's a must-read IMO.
Hopefully be able to knock out The National Virginity Pledge by Barry Graham today. I'm probably going to the Ann Arbor Book Festival tomorrow and Barry and I might hang out.
Still haven't finished Middlesex but I think I'm gonna start The Girl Who Played with Fire soon.
Sabbath's Theater by Philip Roth.
Invisible Monsters Remix. So far I'm really enjoying it.
That's good to hear.
I've been contemplating picking it up. Who am I kidding? It's just a matter of when. haha
I figured there's no point in even trying if I don't get a real book. Which I won't, because with the shipping it'd be waay more than I'd be willing to pay for a Chuck book. I only read Invisible Monsters once, although it's my favourite, and I don't remember if I read it in order or not. Probably yes.
Invisible Monsters was my favorite and I don't wanted a ruined by a remix with some DJ screaming his name randomly in the middle of the chapters.
I read the LitReactor article on it. I still don't think it's worth it. I will, however, probably re-read the original, as I bought the paperback from England last summer.
He only made it so, to read the book in order, you have to flip all over the place. Like at the end of the chapter it says "Go to chapter 7." It still reads in the same order. The chapters that he added to the original story, they are really short (but written in mirror, so that sucks). And the other extra chapters, if you follow the directions, you don't read them. They are bonus chapters, kind of like special features on a DVD. They are Chuck's thoughts and stuff (from my understanding).
Just finished The National Virginity Pledge. I'm surprised I haven't heard / seen more people talking about it. The style kind of reminds me of Bukowski. It was pretty entertaining.
Starting Bonk by Mary Roach.
Also going to start another fiction book, just haven't made up my mind on what yet.
Lolita, light of my life, fire of my loins.
"The silver bag of turkey Tetrazzini empty on the carpet. The carved elephant pillars.
In our heads, we’re all jotting down the line:I happen to know a lot about human insides . . .
And nothing more happens. More nothing happens. "
Gathering of the Waters by Bernice L. McFadden.
The New Bill James Historical Baseball Abstract.

Just started Heavy Liquid by Paul Pope and I finished Locke&Key: Welcome to Lovecraft by Joe Hill and Gabriel Rodriguez
The Gargoyle was very good.
I've just started I Hope They Serve Beer in Hell by Tucker Max. The stories themselves are somewhat entertaining but they're quite poorly written. Almost like they're just outlines of stories or quickly done first drafts.
Last Days by Adam Neville.
I'm reading The Wall, by Marlene Haushofer.
Bedbugs by Ben H Winters. It's good so far, already a little creeped out!
I finished Bedbugs and I loved it! Really enjoyable. It's being made in to a film by Ti West so I'll expect that to be good too. I recommend Bedbugs heartily!
Don't know what to read next. I feel like reading more horror but can't decide which one!
Finished Bonk. It wasn't my favorite of Mary Roach's books. It was good. But not as good as Stiff or Spook.
Started Praise of Motherhood. There were a few reasons I've been holding off on this one. I think I'm ready to read something like this. At least I know I like Phil's style.

Driven, the sequel to Drive by James Sallis.
