This month I read Young Adam by Alexander Trocchi and The Trial by Kafka (second attempt, saw it through this time).
Just started Savage Detectives by Roberto Bolano and 100 pages in I am loving it so far, far more than 2266. It reminds me of Richard Hell's novel about young poets, Godlike.

I'm about to wrap up American Gods by Neil Gaiman. One of the best books I have ever read. A very, very original story.

I love The Savage Detectives. Good choice.

Currently reading all the books in Stephen Baxter's Xeelee Sequence, love the mind-expanding science. I bought a used copy of Gaiman's American Gods and just haven't had time to pick it up, but I've read everything else of his. Favorite author of me and the wife.

Yeah, my copy of American Gods was purchased used as well. I had read Good Omens and Smoke & Mirrors and was thoroughly impressed. American Gods is my favorite of his out of the 3 I've read so far.

Neverwhere or Anansi Boys will be the next Gaiman book I read.
