I Got My Rant!
Ahhhhhh! What a great surprise. I got home today to find that my copy of Rant had arrived from St. Helen's book store...SIGNED AND PERSONALLY INSCRIBED BY CHUCK! Fucking awesome. I didn't even open it except to look at where he signed. I'm going to have to get another copy to read.
I am pumped.
Got mine today too. Not a signed copy, unless I'm in for a surprise when I open it. Wouldn't that be sweet? Chuck signing random copies of books.
Does anyone know where he ranks on the best seller chart? Is he close to number 1?

Don't know if this is where the book ranks, but I checked it 30 minutes ago and it was at 26. Now it shows it at 29.
No one has the right to teach us stuff we don't want to learn. That's what our Bill of Constitution's all about.
Got mine today too. He signs them different too, both from St. Helen's. The one with my NAME on it has a stamp that says TESTED NEGATIVE or POSITVE for rabies (he circled POSITIVE) and then couple of pages later, signed with 2007 Rant Tour stamp. The flatsigned just has the Rant Tour 2007 stamp and his signature. I found that interesting, he goes the extra mile for those that ask for names, since your more likely to keep it. I will read NEITHER and will pick up a copy at the store to read. NICE!

I hope mine has cool stuff like that. I'll read the one he signs, why not?

well, i don't want to "damage" it, ie, coffee spill, grease, tears - i'll just buy another copy to read for the 40% off amazon/borders/b&n price - but that's just me

I didn't get the mail yesterday afternoon so I walked down and got it today - my signed copy of Rant was there. I am eager to start reading.
Someone else bought a copy for me with Clown Girl - I'll expect them today since they were all shipped from St. Helen's.
Good coffee is like drinking Rock and Roll.

Haha yes, I just opened mine to look at where he signed it...then I closed it and put it on my shelf, next to my signed copy of Haunted. I won't be opening it again except to look at the signing. I'll be going to the store soon to get another copy to read.
Mine doesn't have the rabies stamp, but it was from St. Helen's and it is personally signed and has the Rant Tour stamp. It says
[I]
Hey Tom!
Rock hard.
Rock always.

aosapifiahpadaq awesome, I'm way happy.
Yeah I was pretty stoked to find mine in the mail yesterday. I ordered it so long ago that I forgot about it. So it was a very nice surprise to have a signed copy sitting there for me.
I too got my copy yesterday.
I asked Chuck what my power animal is.
My power animal is a Boston Terrior. Then he wrote Lucky You! after that.
Awesome!
Shit man, I'd read the signed copy. Crease it and everything. I saw the book today in the bookstore, with black and white illustrations. Looked and felt pretty hefty. Nice first page of the novel by the way. Price was hefty too, twenty euros.
Mine wasn't supposed to come until May 26th but it arrived today, it was a glorious surprise after an awful English lesson, really made my day
I got mine yesterday. One inscribed, one just signed.
It said:
Truth is....
Brenna
HAS TESTED
NEGATIVE POSITIVE
FOR RABIES(negative was circled)
Better luck next bite!
Then a Rant tour stamp.
My fiance didn't understand why I needed two copies. I hit him with one of them to illustrate the necessity. I can't wait to read it, but I'm going to deprive myself until I have finished all my work for the end of the semester.
Mine says I had rabies. I finally got it in the mail today, and I'm pleased. I've posted this in about 5 other threads too. Jeeze.

i feel left out. I don't have a copy of Rant and won't likely.
I went to the book store after work. Got a vanilla bean frappuccino. Wandered over to Fiction. The P's .... Pa ... There it is.
Hmmm ... Interesting ...
And then I moved on.
But I need a book. A good book. Maybe I should get it.
Got my copy through this morning, aswell as Six feet Under Seasons 1 & 3 which I ordered off ebay. So doubly happy today......shame I have to go work.
Rant I got off Amazon though, as it had the cool body organ cover, rather than the drawing one, which I kinda prefer.
Just got to finish reading "Clown Girl" though, before I start it.
I pre-ordered a book off the internet but I got my receipt in the mail saying that it would be 3 weeks late. But the bookstore where I work at got Rant about 4 days early so I bought a copy. So now I will have two copies to bring with me to the book signing!

Hah...I'm reading Clown Girl right now too...I have about 50-60 pages to go...and I have a four/five hour bus ride to Boston today, so I will finish it then. But after that, I am starting the Raw Shark Texts instead of Rant, because I'm going to Steven Hall's RST book reading on Tuesday. Then again...I'm going to Chuck's on Wednesday...but...I've read everything else by Chuck, so I feel more comfortable going to his reading not having read his new book than I do going to Steven Hall's.

You got a signed copy? nice!
