Graphic Novels (free from sci-fi and superhero bravado)
Pardon.... en Francais, c'est Dupont et Dupond!
Schulze und Schultze auf Deutsch (they call the heroes Tim and Struppi)!

BUMP.
Maybe because it's Christmas, but I really want to read the new Moomin book!

It's technically the first Moomin book but was never translated into English before now.
Aren't Moomins lovely? Yes.
I've been reading Powers by Brian Michael Bendis. I'm on the 2nd Definitive Hardcover right now. There are 5. This - The Wire but with superheroes and villains.
Here's the short that they were using for advertising to announce the release (there are 8).

Damn, I just remembered - "free from superhero bravado." My bad.
I've been reading the complete Philémon, one of the graphic series of my childhood. Very surrealist, poetic and imaginative :

That looks like I would like it. Wish I understood French.
I really want to buy these lost girl comics by Alan Moore but they're $25 each because I think they are the first original prints and it's driving me crazy each time I see them still sitting there on the shelf.

YES! I've been reading Lucy bits of Comet in Mooninland.
I just love it, it's so playful and sweet.
I asked for this for Christmas.

"I'm glad I live in the GPS era. In a different century, I would've set off to visit the other side of the village and wandered off into the mountains and been eaten by a carnivorous plant. Or discovered the Americas."

I agree. I was disappointed by the acting choices for Thomson and Thompson though.
