Good Morning, and Please Listen to Me
The title of the thread is the opening line from one of the most charming book reviews I've read.
The exact quote is:
"Good morning and please listen to me: Denis Johnson is a true American artist, and “Tree of Smoke” is a tremendous book,..."
But for my purposes, please substitute Stephen Graham Jones for Denis Johnson (no offense to Johnson, I'm a huge fan) and any book by Stephen for "Tree of Smoke".
Stephen is not only an amazing writer, but an amazing human being. He's here in the Bay Area, and he's been so gracious with the little free time he has, meeting us fans, making us laugh, bringing us things to read, answering questions, signing books.
Seriously, Stephen, thank you for everything! I enjoyed meeting Todd and Adam. Thanks for all your insights, for the great conversation and the many laughs.
