this issue is becoming quite the intricate web woven..

basically, from what i understand, it is much harder to update up'd information:

amazon set a date and the date was changed, but amazon is not going to keep up with the publisher. the publisher's stance is that godspeed has been pushed back indefinitely. they will more than likely release it at another time. it's really a smart move in that baer doesnt feel it's done. he's a bit of a perfectionist, and this is his house of leaves, his paradise lost

dark epic noir fantasy

so, there is no current release date, not in any form. there will be a series of books that godspeed will span through. baer's estimates a thousand pages plus..

once it releases, though, i promise that youll hear about it here and at the velvet. it will be big news.
im excited as all hell to know that one of my favorite authors is going to this much effort to get it completed in the most or closest to perfect, uninhibited epic novel. yeah, im currently rereading kiss me, judas

Im really looking forward to this book. Possibly more than any book next year.

im on the list to get an ARC when the book is done. (thanks to my awesome girlfriend) and when i get it, rest assured i will let ya know.

"I love his work with a passion" would not even begin to describe the feeling his work gives me. His writing makes me look at my stuff I write in free time and say "This is shit covered dribble compared to Baer!"

im looking over my nanowrimo (novel-in-progress) and man, it doesnt even compare--and i studied under the man for six weeks like i learned his grit (via a cult intensive), and my shit sucks soooo fucking horribly in comparison

I'm disappointed to hear this has been pushed back indefinately, but I'm sure the end product will more than make up for the delay

how to exceed one thousand words by exceeding one thousand pages
ANSWERS:
from what i understand, the first book, the initial godspeed, runs about
250 words deep and it will be followed by two three or four more books

..

maybe it's going to be like 50,000 words per book but only 1,000 of them are going to be [i]epic[/i] words.

I was looking to buy the ARC for the first 250 pages of this series, but couldn't find it online. I suppose it doesn't exist.
I'd sell a kidney for a 1000 pages of baer.

Though I have to say I'm no fan of KMJ, Penny Dreadful and Hell's Half Acre are among my favorite books. HHA made writing an art.
