by Neil Strauss

it's out on march 10th and i'm not 100% sure what it's about but the guy's a great storyteller. he's ghostwritten books for marilyn manson and jenna jameson and motley crue and he wrote a pretty popular book about pickup artists. anyway, it looks like an interesting book about survival in such an unpredictable era. he supposedly even acquired permanent residence on an island full of millionaires. they're gonna take off to this island if things get really bad here or something. looks like a crazy story. anyway, here's an exclusive excerpt for strauss' mailing list:

Yeah - Strauss gets bad publicity because people only think of his as the writer of The Game. But I love the way he writes. He's got a great style that I think more people here would like if they'd give him a shot.

yeah regardless if you want to learn to pick up women or not, 'the game' was a really good story. it has andy dick, heidi fleiss, paris and brittany, tom cruise, scott baio. who else do you need in a story?
