Digital ANGEL DUST On The Cheap
Just a quick heads-up for Portland people who might have checked out ADA: This coming March 18th, 2013, I'll be reading at Powell's City of Books on Burnside as part of their Smallpressapalooza event. They placed me at 9:45pm because I'm vulgar and my face frightens children. Should be a good time.
Are you going to AWP this year Jeremy?
What's the eighteenth? a tuesday?
I couldn't make AWP this year, but I'm hoping to in 2014. Having a kid has made it much more difficult to attend conferences. Next year I'm lucky--World Horror landed in Portland, and I think AWP's on this coast.
The 18th is a Monday. A glorious Monday. People love to come out for late night readings on a Monday, right? Still, it's Powell's so whenever they ask me I say yes. To be able to read at the same podium where I've seen Irvine Welsh and George Saunders read is totally an honor.
I'll probably come down.
Everyone is going to be hungover, on top of it being monday.
>Everyone is going to be hungover, on top of it being monday.
Exactly. And my own kid schedule has me up at 5am, so I'm getting jacked up on caffeine around 7pm to make sure I give this thing my best.
Hope you can drop in. Smallpressapalooza is always a really diverse event, and the readers are allotted a tight space so it moves fast.
Sounds like a good time. One of these days I'll make it out to Portland.

Alecia--Thanks! Glad you enjoyed the book. EXTINCTION JOURNALS is the continuation of the story of the man in the cockroach suit from "The Sharp Dressed Man at the End of the Line." So if you liked that short, you'll hopefully enjoy his weirder wanderings in the wastelands.
Unintentional alliteration, by the way. Sometimes it just happens.
Pete--Thanks!
