Dennis Lehane anyone
I've kind of been on a Dennis Lehane kick lately ( four of the last five books i read were by Lehane)
I've read A Drink Before The War, Darkness Take My Hand and Gone Baby Gone (I read Gone Baby Gone first, but that was before i found out that it was the fourth book in his Patrick Kenzie/ Angela Gennaro series)
i also just recently finished Shutter Island (a stand alone novel) which was fucking awesome... according to IMDB Scorsese is directing the movie adaptation, and DiCaprio is set to star.
Lehane is my first real venture into dectective/crime novels.
Anyway... anyone else read him at all, and if so, what do you think? maybe we an start a small discussion of him or something.
Yeah, i started to read the first short story in that book (Coronado, i think it's called) and it just didnt do it for me...
Ive read A Drink Before the War, Darkness.. Shutter Island and Mystic River. My favourite was Shutter Island and Im happy to hear they are making a movie of it. His last book was a bit of a letdown, some short stories and a small play at the end.
