Good day lovers of fine books all!

This is a bit of a whoring post, but bear with me. My novel, Torch, is currently a Semi-Finalist at the Amazon.com Breakthrough Novel Award contest. The finalists are posted on March 3rd, so I am making a last effort to round up as many reviews as possible. Please, if you have any time at all go to Torch's Amazon page (below), read, and post a quick review. Even if you just post a few words and give me some stars (preferably 5 Smile ) I will be in your debt forever. And ever. Yes, ever.

Mate, congratulations! Looks like a cool thing to win.

I just tried writing a review, but the irritating bastard says I have to have bought something from amazon.com. Being a lowly amazon.co.uk-er, I thought that would qualify me to vote. Apparently not. I'll see if I can find some cheap deal and get a review in later!

Good luck!

So you can't review at all if you've never purchased from Amazon? Does that mean I won't be able to read the excerpt either?

I could read the excerpt - it just wouldn't let me review until I bought from the .com site. FASCISTS!

Liked what I read, though. Cool first line: "Travelers commented on the smell."

Yes, I forgot about this damn rule of theirs. Fascists indeed!

By no means do I ask that you buy something just to review. If there is something from the .com site that you really want, then please, consider reviewing my excerpt a fringe obligation.

I guess if they won't let you write a review, I could ask that you put a couple thoughts here in this post to hopefully drum up some others with .com accounts to review.

You guys are great for reading!

I just got word that my novel excerpt has survived to the final 100 entries out of 5,000!!!!

I am damn excited.

Hurry, while supplies last, and all that, this is your last chance to read (and review) before my inevitable dismissal when the final 10 entrys are selected.

(yes, I feel a bit sick and salesman-y)

Not sure. I sent the original down-to-800 info to them, so I figure they have the link should they want to continue to check it out. I don't want to be a bother. But then again, how many chances like this will I have...

congrats!!!  i'm in the midst of reading your work already, but I'll go over to Torch, read, and most likely 5 star you (since I already know you can write).
