Carry Me Down - M.J Hyland
Has anyone else read this book? It's about a boy (told in the 1st person narrative) who is psychologically disturbed and has a gift to detect lies. I believe most fan of CP would enjoy it.
If anyone has read it please let me know, I'm writing an essay on it and would love to steal your opinions.

Kind of like an inbuilt sensor, he notices them biting a lip or something. Extremely perceptive, but it kind of ruins his whole life (without spoiling the plot).
I even emailed the author and got her to answer some questions, but would like to know a general opinion.

How strange. Our last names are homophones of each another, and my in-progress novel is about something similar. A couple years ago when all those TV shows and movies started coming out with similar ideas, in addition to deliberately avoiding them, they made me want to start over in order to not appear derivative, but ... there's nothing new under the sun, and we all have different spins on it. Hell, maybe the familiarity might actually help it sell.
Anyway, no, I haven't read it.

How does he detect lies?
