Bret Easton Ellis
i just finished American Psycho; one of the most disgusting thigs ive ever viewed (read; but viewed each scene in my mind etc) so iw as quite pleased to find how far i could go. i lvoed it and found it to be an amazing piece of work. what next book of Ellis's should i head to. im leaning towards Glamorama (even though i know nothing of it; the whole murderous/terrorist model thing sounds interesting) but i not sure. help me out
Definitely Glamorama
I read Rules of Attraction and The Informers. I came to two points. 1) It's the same book. 2) The book sucks either way.

I've read Less Than Zero(10/10), American Psycho(10/10), Rules of Attraction(7/10), The Informers(7/10) and Glamourama, it was so lame I didn't even bother finishing it. I was so disappointed.
But anyway, read Less Than Zero next.
If you read Glamorama next, you'll just be let down by the other ones afterwards. Save Glamorama for last if your planning on completing all his works.

uhh im a fan of his, but not sure if im a fan enough to get all his works. Less Than Zero doesnt sound too itneresting to me (the one bout the rich L.A. kids right?) but i may be wrong.
if anyone can give me a detailed sumary of each book it would greatly help. if it wasnt for this site all i would have thought of American Psycho is "wow hes a rich guy living out his dream, who the fuck cares". The back cover summaries arent too good so if someone could give me a detailed summary itd be greatly appreciated
i liked less than zero the best
I read American Psycho first, then saw the Rules movie, and recently read Glamorama. If you wanna get to glamorama I recomend you read or see The Rules of Attraction. That way you can get all the references, as so many characters from Rules show up that its practically a part 2. Anyways, one way or another you HAVE to read Glamorama.

The movie had more characters than the book

definitely read rules of attraction before glamorama. their stories are interconnected slightly.

Don't bother. It's not necessary and just bogs down your head with the baggage of another book.

everything u just said about less than zero is because its true, its supposed to be,
main question: if i read Glamorama next, will i be left in the dark on a lot of things?

YES YES YES! You will be! You could get through it, but you will get SOOO much more out of it if you know who the characters are and who they used to be. As a quick fix just rent Rules. Knoxville, you'll thank me.

ive seen rules, i thought it was good. i would read rules of attraction (i dont have any objections) but im eagert o get to glamorama, ohw ell guess ill read rules first.
Don't bother, just read Glamorama. You're being led astray, there's no reason to read Rules of Attraction beforehand.

Read Glameroma next it IS SO GOOD. As for Vendetta who says he never finished the book....well I'm just sorry for you. It is a great book even if it is a little hard to get through. Yes it will fry your brain but if you have a few to spare you should read it. it will blow your mind.
A few points:
--IT WAS BORING!
--What the hell is Glameroma?
--I'm clearly a fucking girl.
--Clockworkgoth? Edgy.
--I don't want your pity you patronising fuck.
