Thast wierd, I was about to read this until I picked up the Paolo Ceolho book. I havent read Will Self before so can you let me know what you think of it, Please?
I liked this book. I also read Great Apes a few weeks ago and enjoyed it as well, however struggled a bit to get through it.

This guy likes to speak deep with his vocabulary, but I like that way.

I'm going to read his other books for sure.
I read the first one and thought it was okay. You were right about the sex scenes, they certainly were awkward!
Unecessary, right? Cheap thrills for mad old housewives!

I read a few of those Sookie Stackhouses all at once and got really into them. Maybe that's the way to do it? I wanna re-read 'em all now and see if I was just high or whatever for liking them.

Awesome! I loved Crime and Punishment. I read it years ago.

Lately - it seems that every time I go to the book store I pick up one of his books and browse through it. I really want to read something else by him but I can't decide what to read... I've held in my hands and contemplated: The Idiot, The Brothers K, and House of the Dead...

Currently I'm (finally) back on a reading kick, and reading a book of Roald Dahl short stories, and I think it's fantastic. I belive it's called "Tales of the Unexpected," or something along those lines.

I think before that I read one of those detective type books set in eastern Canada that's got an interesting enough story once you get into it, but the writing is pretty much the same as all the other books of that kind. It made me kind of sad.

Also, I still don't get why I can't quick reply.

Also also, the official book club is still one of those things that you have to be paying some sort of money before you join, yes?

At the moment I'm juggling The Children's Hospital by Chris Adrian (heavy going), The Quiet Girl by Peter Hoeg, and Darkmans by Nicola Barker (absolutely fantastic, I highly recommend this book)
