Boo! It's October. From Which Books Shall You Never Return?
Just finished 100 Years of Vicissitude. It was amazing.
Now reading The Wide Window - A Series of Unfortunate Events, Book the Third.
This is why we can't have nice things.
I loved The Casual Vacancy, I loved the characters, even the despicable ones, I loved the beginning, I loved the middle, I loved the ending.
BUT I've only read Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince in English and wow, the language was such a shock. Now I understand why they "translated" Harry Potter into American English. There are quite a few parts where the Britishness is so obvious. I loved that, too.
They did, even the first title. Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone instead of Philosopher's Stone.
As promised, I'm reading Midnight Voices by John Saul. Perfect Halloween read.
It is because American's are idiots that cannot be trusted to understand even their own language if the way it is spoken/written suggests there are cultures at all different from their own.
Ehehe.

Cool to see I Didn't Mean to be Kevin mentioned a few times. My cheeks are red (both face and butt).
Yep, mainly a Velvet guy. I read the LitReactor articles often and participate in the forums a bit.
Gordon gets all the credit for the title. He's a title master. It's not the first (or probably the last) work of mine that he's named.
As for me, October, I'm currently reading Cloud Atlas. Other than that I've got a constant stream of stuff I'm reading for review at my YouTube channel. Busy. Good busy.
