Anyone read Christopher Moore?
I'm a big fan. I'll tell you more after others tell me if they've heard of him. He actually got me started on Chuck Palahniuk.

Yeah, I"ve read all the novels he's written and enjoyed them all except Island of the Sequined Love Nun.

I started reading everything in Chris' Picks and that's when I stumbled on to Palahniuk. I've read everything by CM. My wife sent him some e-mail to ask if he grew up Catholic, and he actually e-mailed her back (he grew up Methodist, by the way). He's got a new book coming out this fall. The publisher has a "watch list" where you can sign up to get e-mail when their authors release new books, and Matt Ruff is on there, too. I haven't found anything like that for Chuck, but there's already been so much discussion about Stranger than Fiction and Hauntings anyway.
This is a really good idea.
I'm actually a mentee of CM I guess you could say. I've been chatting with him on his message board and through E-mail. He's supported me through Iraq this time and last. But like I said I can talk about anything with him. I consider him more of a teacher or something like that more than just a dude I'm a fan of.

What's coming out this fall? Is it the sequel to Bloodsucking Fiends, perhaps? Or is it the Christmas book (I think) that he's been working on?

Nevermind, I just checked his webpage. The Stupidest Angel. Can't wait.

I'm halfway through it right now. AWSOME stuff! Definitely a CM book not to be confused with anyone else.
