Anyone else read this? Your opinions matter to me.
The Ruins by Scott Smith (the guy that did A Simple Plan) whas phenomenal!!! Has anyone read it and did anyone else see the beauty in this book?

Just looked at IMDB. No Ron Howard mention but it looks like it's in productio. No way will it compare to the book, which made me very uneasy for at least 2 days after reading it. But, alas, they rarely do.
I haven't read it but it does look good.
It was probably a couple years ago or whenever that I thought I remembered seeing something about it being filmed so who knows where it's at now.

I know that Ben Stillers production company bought the rights to the film before it was even published. Smith thanks Stiller in the book. Also, Smith will be writing the script, which, alone, will keep it from being a cheesy "killer vines" movie. You should check it out. The second book in 8 years from someone who had alot of success with his first. The curiosity alone should be a good enough reason.
