Anne Rice goes fucking insane on Amazon.com
a ghost suglia??
Suglia was probably an old boyfriend of Chuck's and Chuck dumped him and Suglia is a bitter ex.
that sounds plausible enough to accept as fact
i did look for her new jesus book, but, couldnt, not really, i mean, find it, anywhere. it's like, searching through amazon, hasnt, really, come out.

I'm gonna totally read that Jesus book. I know I said the same thing like a year ago but this time I'm really going to do it.
You know, having Suglia around really helped to put things into perspective. Instead of attacking each other, we focused on taking down each of Suglia's many possible identities, like in a futuristic robot war film where you never know just who to trust. He really created this Us Versus Them mentality, which helped us overcome our personality clashes in order to work together towards the common good. I think it's safe to say we're all a little bit wiser now that Suglia invaded, and promptly disappeared from, the Cult.

I'm pissed that Suglia has invaded our space. It's like when your house gets robbed and you can't sleep at night because every noise you hear makes you think you're being robbed again. Now every new post from every new person is suspect. Any one of them could be SUGLIA!!! (maniacal laughter) The dumb fucking thing is that if he had just approached everyone without being such a dick and said, "Hey. I'm a young writer trying to get some exposure. Howz about reading my book already?" then a lot of us probably would've picked up that turd. On second thought, I guess it's a good thing he was such a prick...
I can't believe Anne Rice went apeshit like that over negative reviews by the troll hordes. Jesus, whether the reviews were warranted or not, she only gives them more weight when she personally responds on some crap fucking website! Unbelievable. If I were her, I'd be sitting in my mansion naked on a mountain of cash not giving a damn what the masses thought about my work and steadily churning out more.
I'm slightly ashamed to admit how much I enjoyed the first 2 or 3 of those vampire books during my freshman year of college (about a hundred years ago.) I also liked those "Erotic Tales of Sleeping Beauty" books she put out under a different name. (All of this was before my exposure to college lit. so ya gotta give me a little bit of a break.) I wouldn't pick up one of her novels now if it had money sticking out of it, but at one time I was a fan. My point is, she's not the only writer in the world putting out garbage. Hell, the majority of them are. But, she doesn't have to attack people for not liking it. Write a good book or STFU already.
Anybody got a link for that Palahniuk review in Salon? Is it archived in a thread here somewhere? I can't find it.
Get on over to my website, young'un! www.subvertfromwithinrecords.blogspot.com
Maybe she went crazy when her husband died? She dedicated a lot of books to him, and when I opened a more recent novel (I can't remember which) it said something to the effect that he had died. Very sad.
But I am still dubious as to whether or not she actually wrote those comments.
Man, the ego on this cunt. I hate her and hopes she gets herpes.
And what kind of writer taps out about 800 words with no paragraphing anyway?
Her reply only served to further highlight her literary shortcomings.

I tend to let grammatical things go with writers. Chalk it up to style. Hubert Selby, Jr. teaches us that.

I wonder what it was I did that night
Gah!
Belinda was hot. So was Cry to Heaven. Those books were masturbatory material for me for a while. Very Sensual. That's all.
"I need total sensory deprivation and backup drugs." AbFab
Please understand I mean no offense.
You started off saying "I've never read any of her stuff" yet you are posting about it.
If you have never read her work why would you start this kind of mud slinging?
Furthermore why would anyone take it seriously?
I am merely trying to understand.
If you dont have something intelligent to say, do not comment.
I am sorry but, I believe you are thinking of the movie version.
The book the Queen of the damned says no such thing.
If you dont have something intelligent to say, do not comment.

This is why we can't have nice things.
Quote button is your friend
(Tuffy make a cult gif for this please)
Not resurrecting three-year dead threads is also your friend.
And, yeah, I'll get on that.
This is why we can't have nice things.
It's probably Anne coming back here to start more shit.
No, I am an artist I found this thread by fallowing the link in this tweet:
"An Open Letter to Anne Rice" from Amanda Welling. I invite comments. Let us all remain civil and polite. http://fb.me/25DfIBgZc
Then A link in the blog it sent me to.
"In my opinion, I am not convinced that Anne doesn't just do these sorts of things so her fans can do her dirty work, so to speak. She has lashed out at reviewers before, personally, on Amazon."
I thought I could ask reasonable questions, and expect intelligent answers.
Apparently I was wrong.
If you dont have something intelligent to say, do not comment.
For one we have no idea what you're talking about or who you're directing your comments to because you didn't use your trusty quote button.

Secondly, we have no idea who you are since you haven't properly introduced yourself.
Thirdly, this thread is ten years old!
I don't think we should piss him off, he might destroy us.
And your basing your opinion on the OP by his disclaimer. He posted a rant from Anne Rice and you're defending her and attacking him (again based on the disclaimer). You don't need to read her books to realize that her reply was a little off. Did you read the quote?
There's that and the fact that you just generalized a statement about the whole Cult based on a 10 year old comment...
This is the internet, there's no need to remain civil and polite.
I think when you choose a user name like that you are probably all about remaining civil and polite though.
lol, I didn't even notice his user name. I should change it, but I don't think he's going to stick around. So it probably doesn't matter.
Rules do state that there is to be no curse words in user names.
He's a smurf. A smurf that smurfs smurf. Smurf him. Smurf him right in the smurf.
This is why we can't have nice things.
This was nearly exactly what I was going to say.
Everything that could be said about Anne Rice already had.
I was not attacking, I was asking.
And yes I am an Anne Rice fan.
I also think her post was childish, ill tempered, and poorly thought out.
I have not made up my mind about the cult yet.
I am new to this site.
I am used to civil and polite, the way people are on Vampire Freaks.com
AND WHY DOES EVERYONE ALWAYS ASSUME I AM A GUY WHEN I AM NOT???

If you dont have something intelligent to say, do not comment.
Well introduce yourself and then maybe we'll be more civil and polite and not think you're a guy but a vampire or freak or whatever you are.
Sadly, the posts Anne herself made in this thread were long ago deleted.
It was glorious.
This is why we can't have nice things.
If you plan on staying, we have to talk about changing your user name.
AND WHY DOES EVERYONE ALWAYS ASSUME I AM A GUY WHEN I AM NOT???
:(
Because You have "piss" in your name. Men piss. Ladies don't piss; they tinkle.

FIXED IT.
Ok, how about Upset me and I will destroy you?
How are introductions done on this site?

I prefer Don't Make Me Angry. You Wouldn't Like Me When I'm Angry. but that's just me.
This is why we can't have nice things.
But then we will all call you Upset all the time. It will seem like an accusation.
I thought "Tinkle me off and I will destroy you" was pretty bloody funny.
Tinkles is a cute nickname.

Christ, reading that comment from her, she completely, completely, overdoses, on commas. Like, every second word, has a comma, after it. However, I think, I much prefer Stephan King, to perhaps, Anne, Rice, because, she, is a, complete, tool.
