July 8th!!!!
Oh god, yes, it's back!!! *kisses the July 8th thread ground*
Today is Tuesday, June 17th!!! 19 DAYS LEFT!!!!!!!
Whoa. Heavy. That's not a lot of days. I have a lot of shit that week.
4th=Fourth of July
5th=wedding
6th=youth group thing, I don't know what this is about
8th=F&R
10th=goin' to see Blue October.
Shit.
There is hope, but not for us.
I have one scheduled thing to do in the next couple of weeks: Go to mall with girlfriend(Erica).
Rents, why haven't you been online(AIM) in a long time?
Your girlfriend's name is Erica?! What happened to the Melissa girl?!
There is hope, but not for us.
Haha, I can't beleive you rememebered that! Cheers Jany! Anywho, me and Melissa broke up. She randomly decided she didn't want to talk to me. Most people suspect it was because of her facist church(I'm not saying all churches are facist, just hers) which would kick you out if you had a boyfriend or a girlfriend. I don't really care for her at all anymore, she has become quite creepy. And Erica is an old friend of mine, whom I recently found out had liked me all school year, so I asked her out. Now we are all happy and dandy. Well, when it comes to our relationship, our lives are still no good.
"And I kept on saying things like 'Blimey!'..... And I never did speed again." Proto.

Unfortunately, m'dear boy, I don't have it available to me at the moment. I moved back home last Thursday (where as your short term memory gone?), so I don't have my computer hooked up (this is the folks'), therefore I have none of the usual ammenities like AIM or MSN.
I know you moved back home, but I didn't think it would affeft our intimate snoogumness.
hahaha, I'm sorry. It has affected our snoogumness, Snoogums, and I apologize for that.
It's ok, my little dorsel fin.
You guys are creepy.
There is hope, but not for us.
HAHA! Yes, yes we are.
!* days left. Today is Wednesday, June the !*th.
LOOK HOW SCARRY HARRY IS!
17 days left. Today is Thursday, June 19th. And I am do not have prostate cancer. Looking good!
I am glad to hear about the lack of prostate cancer, but why do you keep ragging on Harry Potter? Not cool, yo.
There is hope, but not for us.
I hate Harry, I am was just excited about my new avatar, which I found hilarous. But, I am going change it soon, once someone helps me.
We're good. Yay.

Wow, someone else besides me, Rents, XChuck, and Suzee on this thread. It was down to the four of us when the last one got deleted. I am scared by the newcomer.

Sorry, there are 16 days left. Today is June 20th, and it is Friday.
Well, gee whiz, now it's monday the 23rd. Less than two weeks to go! (13 days for those of you who don't want to do the math. Assuming I did it right.)
Remember when the countdown was started, and there was like, how many months to go? A half a year or so? Hard to believe we're down to 2 weeks.
There is hope, but not for us.

Sorry, there are 16 days left. Today is June 20th, and it is Friday.
XChuck, I didn't count "today", as "today" was, as far as I was concerned, pretty-much over. So there. Besides, you mad your post at 12:36 a.m., my time on the 21st. So, HA!
12 days.
Not counting "today".
"Today"? I am so confused.

I *like* Suzee! Three whole posts, one third of which consists solely of "Der. Today."
Look at me! Look at me! I'm dark and slightly dangerous!
I finally preordered my copy. Can't wait...
"I've never caught a jewel thief before. It's very stimulating."
Frances Stevens, To Catch a Thief
"Jeff, you know if someone came in here, they wouldn't believe what they'd see? You and me with long faces plunged into despair because we find out a man didn't kill his wife. We're two of the most frightening ghouls I've ever known."
Lisa Fremont, "Rear Window"
Four days!! w00t.
There is hope, but not for us.
For some reason all of the bookstores where I live have them now and they're not street dated items. Any idea why?
I got mine on the third and even asked the bookstore why they were selling it early and they said they weren't. So I checked the new releases list at the store I work at and it's not on for July 8th. It's not on the list at all except for the one we had last month and it said only July.
Anyone checked bookstores yet?
Never get so attached to a poem you forget truth that lacks lyricism.
Proto, I think it is because we are basing it on when amazon.com is releasing it.
Four/Zero days left.
XChuck, a street date is a national thing, and when it's issued stores have to abide by it or they pay a $1,000.00 fine for every copy that is sold before the date. Trust me. The street date for this product was apparently July 8th and apparently a lot of stores either jumped the gun or the date was changed and no one told me.
I'm surprised Dennis didn't know.

Amazon.com might be getting it latter.
I'm so disappointed. All this build-up and...nothing. But I'm still going to buy it on the 8th. Which, by the way, is 3 days away.
There is hope, but not for us.
On the 8th? i bought it today, and its the 6th.
i was just gonna say that.

Wow. This little thread got CRAZY. People telling me to abuse my girlfriend, people showing an alarming lack of respect for women as a whole, people questioning my masculinity in some kind of bizarre machoistic pissing-contest. Hell, I even got called stuffy.
We already discussed that.
Dang it, I went to the bookstore and tried to get it, and the customer service guy told me it was "in transit", meaning it was either on a truck en route to the store, or sitting in a box somewhere in the back. Then he told me that if I liked Chuck, I should read "You Shall Know Our Velocity!" by David Eggers. I had kind of a bad reaction to that.
There is hope, but not for us.
which was what? did you go house? what happened?

Yeah, so I picked mine up today and it's fantastic. Perhaps because I practically live in Portland a lot more stuff is funny, but it's a great book anyway. I haven't read through it all yet, but I'm a good way into it. Everybody should get it. (duh)
Kitty, as soon as I saw the words You Shall Know I went "NO! Not David Eggers! No no no!" The salesguy was kind of like, "Uhh....so.... not a David Eggers fan, huh?" Then we talked about it for a few minutes or so, and attracted a small crowd of half a dozen people. As I was leaving, I saw two or three people covertly pick up the book and start reading the back. It cracked me up.

One.
Mothafookin'.
Day.
Mothafookas.
Yeah, I know some places have it early or whatever, but I'm buying mine tomorrow (sorry, Dennis, I already sent you a buncha money today...) 'coz, well, I don't freakin' know, 'coz, well, that's when I'm buying it.
Who's David Eggers?
Should we all wear nametags to the bookstore incase we run into each other?
No, just look for the ones with the crazed look in their eyes. Then introduce yourself by your Cult name.
There wouldn't be a lot of point in me wearing a nametag, unless I decided to run out to the East Coast to buy mine. Not like I'd run into any of you around here.
David Eggers wrote "A Heartbreaking Work of Staggering Genius," one of the most brilliant but misdirected books ever written.
There is hope, but not for us.
You'll all be damn glad to know that all bookstores in Dahntahn Pittsburgh seem to be abiding the Street Date for F & R.
It's two in the morning here, which officially makes it the 9th, and I just wanted to say how weird it is that no one actually posted here on the 8th.
Also yesterday was Suzee's birthday, and I sent her a nice PM. I figured if I started a thread she'd never see it.
There is hope, but not for us.
And now it is a 20 days later, and god is still fucking my mom.

Okay, I'm back into this.
But I still can't count.
