My dad lives in Portland and knows I'm a huge Chuck fan when I told him that Fugitives was a book about OR he suggested that I give it to him for Christmas, so tell me is this a crazy idea? My dad is in his early 40's and pretty cool but I'm not sure if he would appreciate chuck's style, any thoughts?

Get him the book. Also: couple thick pairs of argyle socks. Also: Whiskey, Beer, Cigars, PVC Prostitutes, MDMA.

There is no age limit to literary preference. If you have doubts then look at it this way, how old is Chucky? I mean he writes the stuff so your dad will probably get him.

I took my dad to a Palahniuk reading. It has nothing to do with age but whether or not your father has a sense of humour or not.
