Zeitgeist
I came across this interesting documentary on Google videos.

Some of it sounds far fetched, the film is of course badly made, it could do with some editing in my opinion. But still... it does raise a lot of questions inside the mind.
yeah. this movie blew my mind. I'd like to see the manuscript on this, when it comes out. it does seem a little far fetched in some respects, but it also does a good job of backing itself up with evidence. I don't find it hard to believe that money currupt people are running the world.
but why no mention of the korien war?
Everyone needs to see a film called, "America: Freedom to Fascism", all about the income tax, federal reserve, and the establishment of the National ID card, scary shit.

I just watched this, scary shit.
My only hope is that I die before any of this takes place, or at least move to some alienated nowhere land.

What I liked about Zeitgeist:
1. It's entertaining
2. It is a well marketed guerrilla film.
3. It makes people think about religion and 9/11 from a different perspective (though definitely not in an unbiased or unproblematic manner).
4. People are thinking critically about it.
What I don't like about Zeitgeist:
1. The manner of citation makes the claims difficult to verify.
2. Anonymity of film makers undercuts validity (for me, anyway).
3. It rides the nuts of already debunked 9/11 conspiracy theories.
4. The focus is pretty scattered.
There's a good article on Boing Boing you can find here: http://www.boingboing.net/2007/08/06/jay-kinney-reviews-z.html
It's a pretty in depth analysis of the film, written by Jay Kinney (Gnosis Magazine).
Does anyone remember the book Behold a Pale Horse by William Cooper? It was sort of the early nineties version of this Religion/Secret Government is out to enslave America thing. Back then it was all about black helicopters, unnamed agencies, and UFOs.
It's worth checking out as a way to examine the history/sociology of conspiracy works. Cooper was wrong about the UFOs (as far as I know, anyway. Presidential candidate Dennis Kucinich and I differ on this), but he laid out an argument that warned against the coming of wiretaps and Patriot Act style legislation well before terrorism was on anyone's radar.
i liked all the stuff about religion, but yeah the 9/11 shit was dumb.
Has anyone seen the Alex Jones documentaries. Bohemian Grove and Terrorstorm etc?
They share a lot of the same points as in Zeitgeist. Well Terrorstorm does anyways.

I found it curious that Horus,Jesus and others were spinoffs of the same mythology.I heard tell that the New Order refers to the next age as the Age of Horus. Then I saw the Marilyn Manson pictures with his Horus eye contacts.White one is the Sun,black one is the moon and the eclipse is from that.I saw the "Terrorstorm" preview in Dallas and met Alex Jones and Jim Marrs. They seemed for real.Anyway, all this modern political stuff only makes sense to me when looked at thru the perspective of a new "Dark Ages" returning with a new twist on the old tyrranical rule of the people.A technocratic lockdown.Implanted RFID chips and stuff.I actually don't claim to know anything ,except that we have been lied to.The George Carlin excerpt was cool.
I've heard about this. Haven't seen it though.

i have seen zeitgeist a couple of times and it is scary and interesting at the same time.
the sad thing is that stuff like this goes on in every country on the world. sometimes slower sometimes faster (like here in germany during the 2nd world war).
since a couple of weeks we have got a new law here witch alowes the coverment to safe all your internet activitis. and listen to your phone calls and read your short messages. all they need is a litle reason to do that (they only have to think that you are a potential terrorist).
big brother is watching us.
i HAVENT SEEN IT YET BUT I BEEN TOLD ITS GOOD.
THERE YOU GO!

Make some research, Ironman, there is already a thread with a link for it.
Merged.

FRANK! I love your new sig and avatar! I really really love them!

Alot of the 9/11 stuff has been debunked. I still believe there was a large coverup (or at least ass covering on a royal preventable fuck up) on that and the 7/7 by our and the British governments respectively.
But all of the Jesus stuff makes perfect sense, and at least everyone should see the first part of the "documentary."
