I've LARPed before. For awhile I went to an office building and pretended to be a telemarketer for 7 hours a day, and they'd write me a check at the end of the week. The game was called Telemarketer: The Calling.
I was pretty good at it.
Garrick, Gwynyth and I attended the Art Car Parade yesterday - we spend hours under an overpass watching the cars roll by. They still look pretty happy though.

And no, all the homeless people I know pretty much sit down on benches and grumble. Except the ones in Leeds, they're more friendly. They smile and are genuinely thankful. Wakefield homeless people are all, "ngaa nghar ahh fags en beerr ngaa". My ventures are solitary explorations up fire-escapes where I sit and smoke and purvey the world. It's nice actually, there's a great spot just for sitting down I've found. It's really high up too.
