You know that ASPCA Sarah McLachlan ad? It raked in 30 million for the ASPCA!!!
I always knew that ad was well done, it's such a tear jerker! But I didn't know it was this mega huge thing. It's MOFO huge! 30 million! From a single ad? The organization’s annual budget is just $50 million! I mean, holy crapola, dude.
Here's the article about it,

Here's the video itself in case you haven't seen it,

I never knew what that commercial was for because I usually changed it when it came on.

I've seen that stupid thing three times today alone.
There is hope, but not for us.
I love Sarah McLachlan! I saw her several years ago in concert. The concert happened to fall on Aids Awareness and she dedicated "Angel" to everyone that had lost someone or had been lost to Aids. It really brought tears to my eyes. My friend cried at Ice Cream. I have to admit I thought a little less of him for that. Ice cream?
She's wonderful for doing these commercials. Maybe she'll branch out to some other causes.
I want to create an account called monkeywright and see how quickly I can get myself banned! hahaa. No, I won't use his name. It's perfect though.
Nick. No you didn't.

Haha. Someone took that name in AIM and he couldn't believe it.

I wouldn't though. I hate when people troll here, so I'm too principled to troll elsewhere. Though if I did I think I would cast myself as a "right to marry animals, but not eat them " activist named monkeybites.
Haha. Shana gave me a link to a place that Garrick had trolled. It was a white supremacist forum. I didn't have the balls to troll. I was too disturbed by the amount of active members in there.

What is that place called again? Stormnation or something like that?
There is hope, but not for us.
That place is probably way too extreme for me. I only took a glance at it, but they have a section called "Diets we support" and one of the diets is "Fruitarian". That diet is so effed up. It's crazy.
Here's Garrick's blog about his trolling adventures at stormfront.

Me too. Me fucking too.

What's so fucked up about the Fruitarian diet?

For Mother's Day when our daughter was a year old, I made a photo montage for the year, and put some of the lyrics from Ice Cream in the center. The lyrics are rather open-ended, so it worked for us as a song about parent / child love. So much happened that first year it really was a "long way down to the place where we started from".
I used to love that song Angel, but the overplaying of the 9/11 version really ruined it for me, for me that song had a totally different and personal meaning, then suddenly they made it about 9/11. World on Fire for me was the real song about 9/11, and finally finding some peace with myself about it.
I think Elsewhere is my favorite song ever by her.
This is a really good idea.
Some people believe that plants may be sentient, despite their lack of a nervous system and a brain, and for that reason it's unethical to eat them, and so they only eat the fruits that plants bare, instead of muderously killing and eating the plants themselves. (Others have their own wacky notions for being a Fruitarian.) But the icing on the cake is the diet is unhealthy. You can't live off just fruits without deficiencies in calcium, protein, iron, zinc, vitamin D, most B vitamins (especially B-12), and essential fatty acids.
I see. That is weird.
Fruits and nuts sound good right now too.

It's a great song.I'm not saying it's not at all. I just don't think I could cry over 'your love is greater than ice cream". It seemed really wimpy. Now your montage album seems really lovely.
I don't remember Angel as part of 9/11. Wooden Allen become my enemy when he used that e.e. cummings poem in Hannah and her Sisters. Completely ruined one of my favorite poems and currupted my associations with it. I'm still angry about it!
I can't pick a favorite by McLachlan..maybe Adia

People can be so insane. I am annoyed with the raw food people. They're like a cult!
i always assumed they were doing so well because their url is so similar to myspaces

Awesome. I always liked that ad. Now Animal Planet needs to get rid of Whale Wars and put in some more It's Me or The Dog.
I can't get enough of that Victoria Stilwell.
