You. Back in the day.
You could battle it out with the 'Frankie Say Relax' people.
Frank, you're dominating this thread. I absolutely love it.
Maybe this evening I will open up the trunk again and see what I can find to put up.

I think I am about 14 years old in this photo. I have no idea who the other people are but we're really happy to be at Disney World.

Glam, I think I might have had that shirt... I'll make some research.

This is a great thread.
And, in honour of Frank's uber-guns, I have unleashed my magical photoshop skillz.

Hahahaha! Oh, man.

there is nothing not horrifying about that.
Thats a hot 80's t shirt. People would pay top dollar for that shirt nowadays.

Me with mah Pop and his dog circa 1978, age 4.
Me with Santa. I wish I still had that coat, only much bigger, age 3.
Me with Pop again in Boulder, Co. and half-brother–at a wedding where he did some sort of druid blessing or something that required wearing beads. Age 17/18ish.
Note: this is my real hair color. More later...

Omg, the nostalgia is almost creepy. I think I know exactly where you are on Euclid Ave. and I'm probably around the corner in the cul-de-sac on Cleburne smoking a joint. I love this photograph, it's a like a time machine.

Bess, you dad was hot circa 1978. Seriously.

Oh Phew I'm not the only one who thought that Bess's Dad was hot.

personally i think that santa claus ain't too bad, either.
OK, it took over 3 minutes for this thread to open and get to page 2, just for me to read Glam's post. That said, it was worth the wait.

Me in 1980.
oh this is such an awesome photo, I love it
I have no idea why I didn't comment on it the first time I looked at this thread...
so Bug what was the occasion for the face paint, and what was your cat called?
I bet he had just finished watching "IT" and was going to use Kitty in a sacrifice.
Look at Bug's eyes! They're empty, just like that cats insides ended after Bug was done with it.

ha there is definitely an IT/Kiss vibe going on there.
Crap, that is more KISS-like make up than anything. That reminds me, I have to find The Beatles' Revolver t-shirt I KISSed.

Can't remember the occassion for the face paint, but that's my first cat, Bubbles. I named him that because my mother used to play John Lennon's album Double Fantasy over and over again, and there's one part during the album where Lennon says "bubbles, bubbles". Or maybe he doesn't...but I thought he did at the time.
This is me in 1978 with my dog Kobi...

This is the cast photo from the Foreigner, a play I was in in high school. I'm the cranky looking guy in the back, cast in the role of Owen Musser, a redneck and Klansman. Tripped on my white robe running up the aisle during one of the performances and almost landed in the lap of the school's principal. Who of course, was black...

Everyone has an awkward stage, but mine's been going strong for 34 years.
Get on over to my website, young'un! www.subvertfromwithinrecords.blogspot.com

This is me back at Christmas 2005. I think I said a few weeks before my wife filed for divorce, but I guess it would have been more like three days. This would, i think, be Christmas Eve of that year, at my Mom's house. The troll sitting between my darling children there told me two days after Christmas (I think it would have been the day after but we still had family stuff going on the 26th) that she couldn't take another minute with me.
She had filed the divorce papers within 36 hours and was in a new place within four days. But, she said, she didn't plan it. Like she didn't leave me for another guy, such as the one she was living with by the following October and then married in January...

No, not cute like that anymore. And that dog is buried in my parents' backyard, having lived till 16.
See me in high school,

Most of the pictures I have scanned on my computer are either from when I was really little or just a few years ago. Maybe I'll scan some from high school later... we'll see.

Aw! It's too bad that Bethany can't see photos. Frank should print out a copy for her.

Garrick scanned this for me and titled the picture 'goingtoseethecure.jpg'. I am about 15 in the photo and I think we were going to see R.E.M. Either that, or we just looked like that all of the time.
