A creepy dude I met a long time ago. He posts exactly like Waste (avatar montages were a specialty of his, as was trolling followed by calling on the authorities to enforce the "rules" when someone being trolled won't back down or give up, and many other quirks that I won't go into). I don't really care if he posts here, I was just pointing out that it was very obvious.

If we are talking about a mother and father, the mother is worse, but I believe the OP thinks that the father is worse. He is at least showing concern, in his own distorted way. The mother is so wrapped up in herself and her insecurities that she doesn't seem to show concern for others.
While the OP appears to want the approval of both (and doesn't get as much as she would like), the description of the father figure suggests that he's really the one she wants respect from. He's also the one most likely to change, as he seems less insecure and wants what his best for his children, even if his view is distorted and old fashioned.

Can someone be worse or worst or evil just because of one character flaw? I'd say someone that was a bad driver and had bad table manners would be worse than the both of them.
These are fictional people. In a real person's case, those things could be minor flaws if you took into account the whole picture. But in this case, there is no picture. What is described is what they are.
