Whats the Last Thing You Ate
For some reason peanut butter and banana sandwiches are a part of my new diet. I don't know but I'm not going to argue.

that is if not all the way humorous

Last night I had a seared salmon filet that was marinated in an Asian inspired marinade with a cup of noodles on the side (not kidding, was tired of making Sweet Potatoes every night as this meal) This morning I made scrambled eggs in my works microwave with 2 whole eggs 3 egg whiles some Cajun seasoning and pepper. (wasn't that great, needed salt badly)and 1.5 cups of oatmeal with coffee.

Sounds yum, Zack!
Last night I made sardine spaghetti, which was amazing. My Mum sent me the Waitrose recipe in the post.
You need:
two tins of sardines in olive oil
250g cherry tomatoes
200g spaghetti
1 red chilli
1 lemon
You first use the olive oil from the tin to cook the clove of garlic and a red chilli, then pore in 250g of chopped cherry tomatoes and then mix in the sardines and spaghetti. Squeeze in some lemon juice and mix in the zest and you're ready to go.
Since we don't have a general food thread (I think?), I'll just post it here. My boyfriend's parents are leaving for a 2-week-vacation soon, which means we'll be on our own again, yay!
I'm planning to make hete bliksem (hot lightning) one day. It's a mash pot (wikipedia says it's called that anyway), consisting of a combination of mashed potatoes with apples. It's a Dutch dish, and usually eaten in the winter time.
It's delish!
sounds like it would go well with sausages!
Yes! I'll have to see what I can find here.
Spekulatius biscuits and tea. It's that time of the year!
Porridge with blueberries.
this is what's for dinner:
chunked chicken
cream mushroom
cream chix
2 cans water
can of black beans
can of corn kernels
diced potatoes
chopped celery
garlic, black pepper
crock pot, five hours

What a giant lunch! Looks very yummy.
For dinner today: Spicy chicken in pita bread with cucumber, onion, feta cheese and salad.
Moussaka and spekulatius biscuits.
Banana on toast.

Donut
Roast Pork, roast potatoes, kumara and pumpkin. Asparagus and broccoli. All smothered in gravy. The pork too fatty for me, so I ate veges mostly. Yummy.
2 slices of bread. One with salami, the other with stabburpølse.

A pancake.
Is that... black sausage?
It's a really dark sausage anyway. It contains horse and pig meat and ehm, apparently.. some blood.
I had no idea about that last thing. It doesn't taste like blood in any way though, so that's good.
It looks like black pudding.

I was going to say that blood is pretty tasty sometimes but then that sounds extremely strange so I don't think I will.
Jes is a baby vampire
I had two wholemeal rolls with avocado, tomato and cheese.
I ate so much today. I woke up and ate my other chocolate donut and a protein bar for breakfast. Then the nurse ordered me a guest plate which was beyond bomb:Turkey, mashed potatoes w/gravy,stuffing,steamed veggies, a roll, a cookie, small salad, jello, apple juice, cranberry juice, and coffee. I ate everything except the stuffing and oatmeal cookie. After that my aunt got there and we headed down to the cafeteria and I ate a ham and cheese sammich with another salad, I had a few fries from my cousins plate. After that I needed to take a walk outside of the hospital so I made a Starbucks run and got a pumpkin spice latte. As we waited for my grandpa to get out of his CTscan we ate at a diner and I split a chicken avocado sammich w/sweet potato fries.
So far a protein shake with some creatine and raw oats. Then I need to eat about 2 more cups of oatmeal.

It's 9.45 am and so far I've eaten weetbix, a banana, and a piece of christmas cake, and I'm pretty tempted to have a second piece.
What is this Christmas cake wonder?
It's basically Fruit cake.
For lunch I've had two wholemeal rolls with avocado, cheese and tomato. More christmas cake, and a milo.
Had Smoked Salmon a little bit of Pasta Salad and some broccoli

This haphazard, healthful rainbow.

I don't know what any of that stuff is. It was good though.
Want.
Pizza. Yesterday afternoon. I haven't eaten anything since, but I'll have a super meal when I leave home.
I pretty much live on Cheez-Its lately.
This is why we can't have nice things.
I pretty much live on bread rolls/sandwiches with tomato.
I pretty much live on protein bars until I decide to put a deep dish pizza in the oven. I had a spinach deep dish pizza today and it was delicious.
BANANA CAKE!
Honey roasted peanuts stuck into toffee pops (chocolate caramel biscuits).
sheesh that sounds delicious
Sinterklaas candy. Man, I need to be careful, it's making me want to stuff my face so bad.
PB&J sammich and a glass of milk.

Fruju iceblock.
Saturday evening I ate rakfisk. It's pretty good.
Rakfisk is a Norwegian fish dish made from trout or sometimes char, salted and fermented for two to three months, or even up to a year, then eaten without cooking.
Don't worry, I've eaten since then. Just ate a mandarin. Yummy! I love it when they're sour.
Is that good? It lost me at the 'fermented for two to three months'.
Mandarins are cool, I had quite a few today. I need more spekuloos biscuits.
The thought might be off-putting, but if you would let people taste without saying what it is, I'm guessing the majority would like it.
Do they have a similar taste to Kippers? Sounds lovely, Imke.
I just had an underwhelming meal from my canteen which is too depressing to share.
I don't really know! It's been a long time since I've tasted kippers and all I remember is not liking it, haha.
Some bean stew, a banana and two peanut butter sandwiches. Hungry bunny.
About half a bag of clementines, two puddings, two yogurts, a ham and salami with pepperport on Hawaiian onionbread sammich about a span across, some sort of cookies, two Nestle chocolate bells, a fiber bar, and some left-over enchiladas.
In rapid succession.
Like, I carried it all out of the fridge at the same time and sat there and ate it until it was gone. I could have continued but was afraid I'd hit a shame spiral or something. Steroids, god damn, I tell ya, it's like having the cocaine munchies. Going to need to seriously start working out when I get off this.
This is why we can't have nice things.

These two fabulous sandwiches: fried egg, butter, cheese, ham, spring onion and lettuce. And a mug of black tea to forget it was 11 and I'd been awake for 5 hours. Yay Saturday morning classes.
I always appreciate the effort you go to in this thread. Sounds yummy, except the black tea!
Oh, and I had a mediocre but filling lunch from my work canteen:
tuna sandwich
Hulahoops
a Twix
7upFree
(I was starvin marvin today)
