What did YOU find on the Internet today?
That was the best episode. Dexter would appreciate these pick-up lines.

That last one is hilarious.
No, but I know someone who works there. I'm just saying the author's tone was a bit offputting to me.
"I'm glad I live in the GPS era. In a different century, I would've set off to visit the other side of the village and wandered off into the mountains and been eaten by a carnivorous plant. Or discovered the Americas."

squee!

hehehehehe. That made me giggle.

He's making research!
Now I want to get a kitty and name it Ironmans.
This is why we can't have nice things.
And the urge just passed.
*whew*
This is why we can't have nice things.
That would be the most annoying cat ever.
This little kitty looks like Berto's, Sir Phineas Bluebell!

YAY!! Great post! You struck gold again, Pete.
Also, big Phillip K. Dick fan.
I want this shirt.

This is why we can't have nice things.
I think it's from the same company thae makes one with Anais Nin and NIN's logo.
I can't understand a word they are saying, but this experiment is fantastic and these guys that go through it are awesome.
Ten minutes long almost, but worth watching the whole thing.
(two guys get hooked up to machine that simulates child labor, laughing at first... by the end they are behaving just like women in real labor)

That was crazy. You can hit the "closed caption" button on the youtube toolbar on the video and it shows what they are saying. It's pretty funny.
Hooray for Dutchies! I love Valerio, he's so wimpy. I read that it was going all over the internet, but didn't think I'd see it on The Cult.
Yeah, he was a wuss before it even started. Dennis stuck it out though.
Thanks Pete, I didn't even realise there was that option.
the guy that stuck it out was very brave! He wasn't even going to get a real baby out of it. I am prone to believe the shocks were very accurate in the type of pain and pain level simply by the behavior of them both -the looks on their faces once it really started good and the things they started saying "I can't do it, I don't want to do it" et cetera. And in particular the second guy just sort of losing it in the end- not caring what he looked or sounded like or who was watching because it was so bad.
And he only did two hours! Add the exhaustion of eight to twelve hours (typically) for real labor.
I thought is was really cool and they were both quite brave to voluntarily choose to experience that just to see. Especially the one that stuck it out.
This just came on tv a minute ago. Immediately looked it up!
Then they played a short excerpt of Stone Roses as music for commercial!
I <3 PBS kids channel!
Great for when you are in the mood to clean the house!
One year ago today the users of Reddit were asked for donations to an orphanage in Africa. The goal was to raise $2,000 to build a security fence. In just two days over $80,000 was collected. It was an amazing thing to watch and it is a wonderful story.

And here is today's post, which contains updates about how the money has been used

I read Reddit sometimes. Some people there are pretty fantastic.
Apparently I live in the second most "bible-minded" city in the country.

Alecia, Sarah, Amber, and other loving mothers of The Cult, do not watch.
If this is real (You can never really know anymore on the internet..), I don't even know what to say..
I watched it... so fucked up.
Whatt the fuck?!?
Not. Clicking.
This is why we can't have nice things.
Nor I
Not gonna lie, I chuckled:

They should've taken the picture after the friction caused the tiny wheels to catch on fire!
A few days ago The Guardian suggested a campaign for the UK government's idea to prevent Romanians and Bulgarians to go to Britain, saying that it's rainy and the jobs are not paid too well etc.
Today one of our newspapers launched their mock-campaign:

Stop editing!

HMV Twitter hacking! Seriously awesome.
"HMV staff have used the company's Twitter account to reveal workers at the head office and other non-shop employees are being fired.
The staff used the social media service to inform followers that 190 people were being made redundant..."

This is really sad... Apparently this chick met this guy online and then they met a month ago and now they are going to get married. He is a tattoo artist and he did THIS to her face. It is her first tattoo. Now, I believe everyone has a right to do whatever they want to their own body, but this is despicable and irresponsible.

Oh fuck. What does it say?
Russia I think. I saw this posted the other day too. It made me sick to my stomach for some reason. She looks like she was a pretty girl. I love tattoos but personally I have my limits with them on my own body and when it comes to culture and traditions I respect those too. But this shit?! I just don't understand.
It says Ruslan. It is the boyfriend/tattoo artist's name.

Well, actually his name is Rouslan. Someone said earlier there is an O hidden in there somewhere, but it reads as "Ruslan".

You mean "idiots".
That took two.
This is why we can't have nice things.
They'll probably be breeding too.
Good lord.
This is why we can't have nice things.
My goodness. Makes me sad.
nevermind, it was too creepy

The Nu Project is a series of honest nudes of normal women from all over the world. The project began in 2005 and has stayed true to the original vision: no professional models, minimal makeup and no glamour. The focus of the project has been and continues to be the subjects and their personalities, spaces, insecurities and quirks.
To date, over 100 women across North and South America have participated in the project. Without their courage, confidence and trust, none of this would have been possible. We are so thankful for their willingness to open their homes to us.

But I can't watch it right now!!! cruel isaac. Cruel.
