Detroit's in the middle, but I suppose you could call it the Oakland of the great white north.
my geography is shotty at the best of times, but that just confused me because i know mckay lives in oakland, and i know that's near san fran, and i know that's in california (right?) which is on the west coast, but then Pete said he knew the place or something. shit. i'm just confusing myself more now.

Detroit's and Oakland's African American culture is very similar. I know this because I have been to/ been lost in Oakland and I (for some insane reason) have only dated guys from Detroit for the last 18 years and have therefore seen countless hours of videos and heard countless hours of stories. And yes, Oakland in is CA and Detroit is in Michigan, otherwise known as the Midwest of the US.
