() Total Lunar Eclipse Tonight!!!
Wednesday, October 27, 2004
Depending on the clouds, we might get a peek at a total eclipse of the moon tonight. (YAY! its cloudless and sunny as fuck today in Ohio)
Oct. 27 is the night of the Hunter's Moon, also known as the Blood Moon, when the silver orb turns a threatening deep red. Tonight, the earth will begin blocking sunlight to the moon at 9:14 p.m. The total eclipse will be from 10:23 to 11:45. It ends at 12:59 Thursday morning.
The eclipse will be visible everywhere on earth except Australia.

I'll definitely be watching this...never miss lunar eclipses.
I remember watching the 1994 solar eclipse back through some serious protective glass. That was amazing, and the way the colors of the world changed during the eclipse was just freaky.

I was sure that here in Indiana that it was going to stay coudy all day. It's been raining forever, and then all of the sudden the couds moved ou to the west in a straight line allowing the sun to shine! This front was amazing to see, and hopefully it will continue through some more states. Keep your fingers craossed.

LoL, the clouds move west of Indiana over to Illinois -- bastards. Yeah, I hope they clear up because I wanna see it!

Ah, Minnie, yet another reason why you rock the casbah. If you record this, I'd so be your friend...
I recorded the first half.
Its jumpy and dark and cold and cloudy, but not too awfully bad, and I need a new lens. I ended up using the jvc due to the lens fogging up repetitvely on the canon, so its not as crisp.
but its still recorded.
I have about an hour (+ or - ) of it taped, all the way til it eclipses, but its damn fuckin cold outside, so I am not doing the remainder.
But its still cool. I started vacation, so ima edit it a bit, chop it down to about 5 - 10 minutes, and send it to byrd so he can host it. then i'll post it.
yay, my fingers are still bone cold.

Bummer, it's been fairly nice over here. 60s or so.
its 46 degrees out, and a little windy. brrrr. i dont much care for the likes of this weather. but im not too pressed about it, I'll have the video up in a day or so.

I've been checking it out. It's nice, almost half-covered and very yellow in color. I thought the blood red eclipse was pretty sweet several years ago, though.
It looks like a cigarette burn in the sky right now, that is pretty cool.
when i was taping it, i was wondering if the moon and the sun were gonna have sex behind all that darkness. thinkin', damn - once every few years to us might be twice a day for them, who knows? I wonder how freaky they get, and if the planets are their children. the stars their grandkids.

thats what those fuckers were looking at in the parking lot at work tonight
dammit i had a perfect view but i didnt think about it at all
The moon turned bright orange in Southeast Texas last night, and it was cool...until a mosquito (state bird?) stung me on my freshly shaved head...bastard!

Ok... Heres one picture: The Eclispe
The reason thats theres only one is that as I was scrolling thru the pictures on my dads camera I came across, once again, my parents having sex.
This is the forth, FORTH! time this has happened. I hate my parents, I really do, I want nothing to do with them.
well Bird, it's a damn fine picture and it was worth posting, if that makes you feel any better....probably not.
I saw the moon last night and it was all red like blood and it was bitching.
FUNK IT WET; 6 DAYS
-the prophesy in Maddie's orange juice squirts.
What was it bitching about? How we continue to walk all over it?
Cheeseland had cloudy skies, so I didn't see squat...so I appreciate your photo Bird...way cool.
Ick about the other thing, though. That's more moon than you bargained for.

why did you want to see squat?
oh I get it. you're one of them, whatchamahcallit, voyer. right?
and you better not say anything about my spelling.

i walk out of work last night at 8:30, and it's completely overcast. talk about your downers...
nice pict bird

White moon Obstructed (first part of the eclipse)
Those are the best out of all of them.
I would have gotten better shots but we didn't have a camera adapter for the telescope. So these are shot straight thru the the eyepeice.

I know!
I just heard about it! I got a good digital camera so I'll get awesome photos of it if theres no clouds.
