this will get me killed...
well: Nothing personal but I kinda dissagree. Why should the majority of people in U.S. have to change everything to fit for the minority, to me that just doesn't make much sense. I understand seperation of church and state, but that Pledge has been around for over two hundred and seventy years. Why change it now?

to me, it's what is the problem that people have with god? did he do something bad to people one day that i missed? flag or no flag, budah (sp?) and all the other beliefs, i don't really see anybody trying to hush them like the god thing. i know people don't like christians so much, and i don't either and i'm one of them. it may only be me, but i don't see the big problem in quoting a pledge that was written, i think, during a war or after one. i think it's just one more little thing for people to complain about... and now i'm complaining about all the other fucking complaining. dammit!!
we're living in a world that's pushing all the wrong fucking envelopes. i wish it was simple and people just didn't feel like standing up to say the "pledge"... damn that would rock.
mhh...i have always belived in freedom of speech...but i aint got any...meaning,i know exactly how you feel...imagine that youre from very small country...only way you can use words GOD,GAY....if youre in net....useing fake names and stuff...i´m from Estonia...like anyone would know where it lies...but that is the case in our great, great country.
I know where Estonia is. Been to Tallinn actually. Got pictures and all that shit.

kewl, Dillinger.
but anyhow, about all that crazy censorship... it reminds me of an episode of "south park" where they changed or removed everything that offended anyone in the town, etc.
well, it got really ridiculous really fast.
that's all i have to say for now...
After years of cynicism and sarcasm, it truly is time for romanticism to reoccur, kids.
a damn fine point, ampler. the people that are shut up are the ones that really have something to say. i think this place should be worth what the military is fighting for. i sometimes think, what if they are out there serving their country and realize, you know what, nobody back home really gives a damn, nobody at home seems to be worth all this bullshit. i think it's time this "nation" threw out all its negative vibes and try to censor the bad shit and leave what we can at least benifit from.
I agree but I don't believe in "vibes". Shit Kenny, thats just gay.
But if I've told ya once then I've told ya once: I couldn't give a rat's ass about what people think, ya know why?
Cause fuck 'em, that's why.

well, maybe the "vibes" word was a little too gay, but give me a freakin break here... i posted that shit way way past my bed time. you got the point though, right? so that's what matters. yay!
No, Kenny I don't get the point of your rambling speech. It makes no sense what-so-ever to me. Now: stand up straight, make more sense and quit being a queer.

has anybody noticed how some people, before they talk about, say, black people, they turn and look around to make sure they don't say, black, too loud and offend anyone? i'm trying to figure out if they hesitate and look around because of the political correct term is being passed over and they're just saying black, or i'm wondering if it's a habbit, and the person usually says the slang for negro. both to me sound stupid. i'll just stick with black & white.
By "negro", you mean "nigger"?

yes... i mean that bad word. bad bad bad, maybe there's a difference in censorship and saying some things that shouldn't be said... maybe that IS censorship?? god, i'm so confused.
why am i covered in ants??
why is the room spinning??
oh gosh help me
Censorship in all things is bad. By censoring one thing you make it OK to censor everything. People (certainly Americans) need to learn to grow a thick skin, and not let every little thing bother them. It'sreally sad how sensitive people are these days.
But the majority of people in the U.S. believe in God. The pledge of allegiance, I think, is supposed to represent the majority. And really, if people don't want to say "One nation under God", they can always pause or stop. I guess.
I think that the pledge of allegiance, or at least what it represents, is supposed to protect the minority, not necessarily promote the majority. People shouldn't have to remain silent because they don't have the same belief as the majority.
I think most people see it backwards: instead of the non-believers remaining silent, the believers should save their prayers for later.
I haven't said the pledge of allegiance in years, because the very idea of pledging allegiance UNDER GOD to our government is being a hypocrite.
Even when I did say the pledge of allegiance, I would say "one nation under a groove." Because really, it's more than a song.
