This is what I was attempting to do with my last painting of the squirrel. I'm very pleased with this. Watercolor background, pastel highlights.

Let's not get into that, I saw Chenoa's status this morning about bears rummaging through garbage and started sobbing like a baby.
I realized after I started doing the outline that without the full picture, it does look like a bear because of the body. The way it's turned can't really be fully expressed like that.

I'm FO SURE in on the Secret Santa! I had a ball last year getting the gifts together. I know I'm still fresh meats around these parts, but I would love to organize it, sine I don't have a job and kinda lots of free time for things I want to do. Buuuut I will take no offense if this is rejected. I totally understand. But I definitely want to participate again. Count me in!

This is the new stencil I did. I can honestly say that this one was all my creation. The others have involved some amount of tracing from an original picture. This one was all me.
It's a skull wearing vines like oxygen tubes, with a tree where his neck would be. And a leaf for a nose. I'll call it Breathe.
Also, I'm creeping in on the side.

I feel like I need to refine the stencil thing though. Or maybe not use the pastels to fill it in. They're not coming out quite as I would like. Maybe I need to make it bigger. I'm not entirely sure.
Well done sir. From what stencil work I have done if you go a little wider with the lines and do thin layers of paint it works better for detail.

I am going to have to bust out my stencil gear soon. I had this great Frankenstein/frankenweenie shirt that someone stole. Infact most of my stencil shirts have been lost or stolen.

I was half asleep, had two drinks, took cold meds and then had some pot. See I normally dont smoke, really. So I was not all in my head last night and decided to draw Jazz her post card, it ended up this page of bullshit drawings that I thought were amazing but I knew were just strange and not all that good. But at the time I was just blown away by my pencil.
