The New Art Thread
Thank you sweetie.
I feel more like I do now than I did before.
seriously everyone needs to see this guys work even though he can't literally see it himself.
Isn't that cool Jazmanian Devil?
I feel more like I do now than I did before.
yeah it's sooo cooool.
I've always been amazed by his gift.
Sugar.
I feel more like I do now than I did before.
This looks like art to me:

This one is old so I sort guess it's out of place in the new huh?
Nice work ChesterPane! I LOVE the line quality!

This is a little something I've worked up. . . Any crit is more then welcome. . .
Thanks.
Hey, Yaka, where is your image?
I feel more like I do now than I did before.
he looks about as stimulated with life as I was at the time.
Cool doodle
Amber, I like the agitated line. It almost looks like a dry point etching print.
Check this out:

I just this one, although I'm still a little iffy about how to post images here. . .
If you can't see it you can check out my blog. . . http://yakawonis.blogspot.com/2011/10/obama-2012.html
wow that's cool what medium do you use?
I thought you saw the original Rant Artwork that this person did. Didn't you ask about the technique then too? Or am I confusing people?
Either way, the artwork is really cool. I like the skull a lot.
Oh I did see their rant work but I guess I was asking what medium he used for this particular painting. It looks like he uses textiles and I really want to see these pieces in person.
Yeah - I think they lose something over the internet. Seeing the different textures adds something I'm sure.
I just finished this for a Halloween decoration. Life sized leather face with real fish hooks, although I filed off the barbs and points.

Crazy mask scary.
Yeah that's one of the reasons I enjoy going to museums and art shows. A photograph rarely gives a highly textured work of art any justice. Not too mention the actual size. The size of a painting always adds to that final impression it makes on me.

This makes me want to throw up.
I use quilling paper! It started as a craft for Victorian ladies but I made it all my own! I think its very exciting to take digital imaging out of the computer and adding the awesomeness of quilling, and then photographing it in the most perfect light! Oh and also I am a girl. . .
Ha sorry I thought you were a girl but Pete got me even more confused. Anyway yeah that's very cool Yakawonis.
I think you should take the almost throwing up thing as a compliment. I mean it's horrifying but in a really impressive way.
Maybe I'll swipe some of those collapsible blue vomit bags from work and supply the buyer with them. Thanks for the uhh compliment it was my first attempt at a mask. I now have a mannequin head to mold on for future attempts.
Sorry to have offended you - I thought this was the Halloween thread.
I would agree that the craftmanship, which young Labelleza has already noted, is "impressive", but I'm obviously not your target audience. Don't take it too much to heart.
Thanks for the compliment Hattie and I wasn't offended by your earlier remarks. I do know that it's not to everyone's liking but I like to make slightly twisted things at times, since I usually try to make clean simple products.
Brandy Alexander's wedding invitation. . .
where is it?
Can you include Photography in this or should another thread be made? Hi everyone BTW. I'm back.. sort of.

Those collages are pretty awesome.
I love how creative everyone is here.
I know it's not a 'piece' of art, I have too many of those, but I freehanded the NASA logo and made my own NASA shirt for parties/raves/events. I'm so excited to wear it.

I'm also working on ones that have "save the whales/oceans/mermaids" on them.

That shirt cries for three wolves and a full moon.
This is why we can't have nice things.

Holy crap, that is so cool.
Show us the other shirt as well when you're done with it!
Love the NASA tee! If I had a hot bod, I would buy that!
Are you on Etsy, Owl? (Sorry, don't know your name).
Ahhhh I'm not so much of a wolf person. At least not on shirts.

Oh, my. I'm Mae hello and yesss I'm on etsy here. [I apologize for the blank ness I don't want to put anything up as of yet because I really only have a pack of little boy's medium tees right now that I'm using & most people I know aren't kid sized like me so I need to stock up on bigger sizes.] You can wear an undershirt under it if you don't want it to be a belly tee. I would gladly make tshirts for anyone if they wanted to be crazy & buy their own shirt & send it to me.
I'll definitely post photos of the others.

Most of my photography is a bit NSFW per say. Here is one of my favorite recent photos I have done. BTW this has no editing, completely taken live on the fly with no special lights or setup. au natural so to speak.

Fire spinners/dancers are so much fun to shoot. What do you shoot usually? Do you have a gallery of work online somewhere?

That's a great shot zak and you should definitely take more pics like this...meaning less edited work.
Wow, that's cool.
I agree. That is super sexy and beautiful. You have some real potential for talent with photography based on that photo alone.

Thanks for all the positive input everyone. Its sometimes hard to see if its really any good with all these pro's out there with their thousands of dollars of equipment. I like to think I have a particular style. I do have a photography page on Facebook with a bunch of stuff I have been doing. Its mostly a hobby for now but I really like shooting live shows like musicians and performers. But really I like to shoot anything that seems interesting to me.

Here is another from that shoot.

^ Awesome pic. I think you def have some talent. My daughter and I are both into photography. She does alot of photoshoots with female models. She does alot of editing. Your pics look great without any editing so far. I like them. I am going to try some sports photography this week at both of my sons basketball games. This will be new for me. I am excited, but I have never done action shots. Do you have any tips for me?
Whatever Whore!

Love that Chester
