The Chuck Chicks Thread
Go for it Disx. I know it sounds so stupid, but life really is too short.Live in the know etc. (Or was that Live in the now?)
ahah french movie!!!
She's talking like a gangst rap fan and famous to be racist...
She seems hairy too.
Live in the know. Very nice . Its like having your jellroll and eating it too..
Live in the Know...I think I got that from Wayne's World!
Frammy, I didn't like Orlando. But I'm not the art cinema type very much anyway. And i dislike Virginia Woolf.

I like the chick in Orlando, but the film itself was sort of too artsy for even an artsy film... about nothing except this chick who metamorphs into a man and back and it's got some great scenes as far as imagery and ambiance go, but yeah... I like that chick in Tim Roth's The War Zone... Tilda Swinton right? Yeah she's also good in 'Female Perversions' which is very reminiscent of Orlando at points...

There is not a doubt in my mind that I can make you have an orgasm just from the power of my mind via the internet. I'm a giver like that. I can heal you. I can make you whole. That's Brock. Where have all the good men gone
And where are all the gods?
Where's the street-wise Hercules
To fight the rising odds?
Isn't there a white knight upon a fiery steed?
Late at night I toss and turn and dream
of what I need
CRASH
I need a hero
I'm holding out for a hero 'til the end of the night
He's gotta be strong
And he's gotta be fast
And he's gotta be fresh from the fight
I need a hero
I'm holding out for a hero 'til the morning light
He's gotta be sure
And it's gotta be soon
And he's gotta be larger than life
DO-DO-DO-DO-DO (drummachinedrummachinedrummachine)
Somewhere after midnight
In my wildest fantasy
Somewhere just beyond my reach
There's someone reaching back for me
Racing on the thunder end rising with the heat
It's gonna take a superman to sweep me off my feet
CRASH
DO-DO-DO-DO-DO (drummachinedrummachinedrummachine)
Up where the mountains meet the heavens above
Out where the lightning splits the sea
I would swear that there's someone somewhere
Watching me
Through the wind end the chill and the rain
And the storm and the flood
I can feel his approach
Like the fire in my blood
(drummachinedrummachinedrummachine)
now that we're back from intermission...
what's this i hear about moaning?

uhhhn!
I just read somewhere that women all want strong powerful men because its in our genes. Any thoughts ladies?
Personally, I think thats crap. In general I go for bookish, nerdy, wickedly funny men that can cook. I am shallow in the sense that they have to have a fit body but they don't have to be drop dead handsome to attract me. Guys full of bravado are a huge turn off.
strong power is relative mirkah...i think its true..its instinctual. we go for men who would best suit us, and prolonging of our genes (aka offsprings).. perhaps you go for bookish nerdy funny men beacuse they are intelligent (hence resourceful..at least potentially resourceful)..etc etc
i highly recommend survival of the prettiest by nancy etcoff...and all the other evoluntionary psychology books out there...i;ve a powerpoint presentation on this subject...let me know if you want me to elaborate..but the general gist is that we are all here to pass on our genes..by any means necessary

I think you're right in a way Mirkah. Yeah, I do like bookish, intelligent guys, but it would be nice to know that any guy I was with could kick some ass in my defense, if it came down to it.
There is hope, but not for us.
i too like the lean but not tiny look....intelligenec is a BIG deal with me...stocky muscley guys are a huge turn off..but tiny stick men is also a huge turn off too

Okay, I want to ask you guys something, because sometimes I think I'm the only person that thinks this way, and it makes me feel like a freak:
It's very difficult for me to find someone that I hardly know attractive. If I'm out with friends and we see some guy on the street or in the mall, yes, I can realize that he has all the features of an attractive person, but it just doesn't (for lack of a better phrasing) do anything for me.
Likewise, if I meet a guy I think is attractive, but find out later he has shit for personality, I will find him less and less attractive as time goes by. I went to high school with this kid named Eric, and all my girlfriends were nuts about him. But he was a pretty big ass, he wasn't smart, and he cheated on a friend of mine while they were dating. It was impossible for me to think he was attractive in any way. I could look at his face, think to myself, "yup, he has a pretty face," but nothing inside of me connected on it.
And also, if I meet a guy who's kind of average looking, but with a fantastic personality, he tends to become more and more attractive to me as time goes on and I get to know him better.
And now I am praying that I am not all alone on this, because it makes me feel like a bit of a freak.
There is hope, but not for us.
you're not the only one
i feel the same way too
personality..ability to communicate..intelligence are huge with me...i used to have a list..now its gone...a checklist is worthless..its all about the feelgn that you get
i was eating dinner with a friend of mine at a korean restaruant and after we left..i was like...i think the guy is cute...boyfriend material..he looked at me and said..but that guy isnt good lookiing at all (this is a friend who thinks he's da shit), and i was like....its not about looks..just about the feelign you get
but i always tend to fall for friends...never based on purely physical attraction...that's all bull..and it was confirmed...as i got burnt...well not really...just felt stupid for likign this guy...3 day crush that lasted too long..but i ended up hooking him up with my best firend

jane, i wouldn't call you a freak (not to your face, anyway) but i mean, physical attraction is the proverbial foot in the door. if you met a guy who had physical atributes you don't find particularly appealing, or is "average looking" it takes longer for him to get that foot in the door. whatever, we all have things we find attractive, some of us are just a little more adamant about dating only those who fit in our predetermined parameters.
smalls would be one of those girls with few sticking points
what i've read, mirkah, is that women like strong, powerful men when they are ovulating, as these show the most characteristics of sexual maturity, and thus are most likely to impregnate them. at any time of the month other than ovulation, especially menstruation, women tend to prefer men with softer features and less traditional secondary sex characteristics (broad shoulders, facial hair/stubble, deep voice, etc.), because these are the men biologically most suitable as companions, caretakers and partners. i don't know where to find the info, but there was a study done on this.
on a personal note, when it comes to strangers, i tend to have eclectic taste (i'd totally jump both trent reznor and the rock any day, hard to get much more different than that), but i base it on physical features. i think i tend to go physically for guys with a strong facial bone structure no matter what their coloring or stature. but as far as relationships go, my bf is a big softie, a musician, very sensitive and kind. not effeminate by any means, but not "macho." so i think there is a duality there.

the chuck chicks thread is getting testosterony .... Not that i dislike it but you know, it's right that girls are a lot more rare than guys on forums and stay away when hard talking fights starts. It could bring a little peace don't you think?
a little cliche though...

on a more serious note, a guy could be really really unattractive, but if he is really good at whatever it is that he does, i will find him extremely attractive.
i first realized this when i was in debate in high school. now, there are some gross kids in debate. there was one that we called fester. we used to think he was quite gross until i witnessed him debate. this muthafucka was AWESOME. hence, i fell in love with him and stalked him at debate tournaments.
this also explains my undying love for phillip seymour hoffman.
does this also explain your love for me? although i'm not sure what i'm good at...shit i'm not a chick. uh, i'm wearing a wig right now. do you ladies approve? ON TV THERE IS A LEECH!

It'd have to explain your undying love for the guy. He is talented, I'll grant him that any time of the day. Except possibly when I've just woken up...
I think lots of girls do that - fall for guys based on talent. It's the only way I can explain some of the freakish relationships that turn up around these parts.

But of course.
My earlier title was 'feeling humble' - inspired by some TS Eliot I was reading the other day.. In fact, I meant to start a thread about that.
