I do if I'm worried...I'm almost thirty and I've never used birth control, aside from a rubber here or there, but most of my dudes were virgins and shit...and they pulled out, but everybody knows thats not safe or reliable, but I've never been pregnant, so chances are I'm like infertile or whatever. I don't really care to think about it too much. But I have taken the seeds more than a few times in the past if nothing else to calm my mind and I've read a few stories about women who took them everyday and then went on vacation like when they were older and forgot the seeds at home and got pregnant...I don't wanna advocate this, just wanted to tell you guys about it. There's other stuff too...

Not that I'm going to be swayed by peer pressure, but most of my friends are on the pill - which is interesting as most of them are virgins. Myself, I've only ever used johnnies and the morning-after-pill before.
Something that isn't told to many is the fact that you should only take the morning after pill three times in your lifetime maximum, as it really does stump fertility.
So erm, what sorts of precautions do the fem Cultists take when it comes to birth control?

No, Im kidding....Non-Oxynol9 works good, but pray you dont have much to do for the next few hours, or if you go to sleep, make sure youve got nothing to do when you wake up 'cause that shit likes to juice up your fresh clean panties afterwards, it just gushes out, cant help it. you can wear a pad, I hate pads though.....and pantyliners, you need to change em like every hour. Now I begin to wonder if Im the only one that has had this problem......

ive been on the pill since i was about 17 - a doctor put me on it cos i was late starting my periods and they said it was because my hormone levels were kinda low and needed a kick start.. it just seemed sensible to keep taking it as a contraceptive as well.. ive always been on a lower oestrogen dosage one though. i dont know if that makes a difference to the side effects some people say they get from the higher dosage ones.

When my sister was at med school the profs said that as it is such a high dose (of whatever they put inside them) and is therefore strong enough to give you a mini internal abortion it's not very good for you. I don't know though, maybe that's why they're always quite apprehensive to give it out.

Nope you're not the only one. I used this Non-oxynol9 gel crap that made such a fucking mess. The sex was good but goddamn if I didn't have to drag ass out of bed to get a towel.

Same thing with those weird melty sponge things. They foam up, make a mess.

I am a bit sensitive to latex so once my man and I got ourselves all tested and whatnot I tossed the rubbers.

Nowadays I will use either my diaphram (yet another pain in the ass, I am very glad I have a man who's willing to help with it) or I use not a huge amount of the spermicidal cream stuff.

I can't take any of the hormonal stuff. I am one of those birth control pill horror story women. Hair fell out, I went nuts, whole nine yards. I won't even think about that patch or depo or anything like that. My body is fucked up enough without doing all that.

I'm in the process of trying to talk my man into getting fixed. It'd make things so much easier but he's scared.

For most men it's pretty easy to get snipped. For a woman it's ten times harder unless you've already got kids or are over thirty. I tried to get my tubes tied a few years ago when my health was really up in the air and couldn't find a doc who'd do it.

yeah, they told me no one will do it if yer under 26, unless you go to mexico or some shit, its not a law, just like some weird prejudice...I wonder, if you had the money, and you found a female childless doctor, if she would be more inclined to perform it?

I think it's absolutely absurd. It goes back to the whole "no way can a girl not want kids" thing. It's irritating that people think that, but it pisses me off when it means that I can't do what I want with my body.

I think probably the reason that they don't tie women's tubes when they're so young is because ten years later 90% of them would be coming back to the doctor crying about how they could never have kids and the doctor should have talked them out of it. I'm not saying it'd be like that with you, Aleney, or any of the present company, but I'd bet a lot it happened/happens.
