Oh dear. I understand people can't do it. Should we all just do xmas cards? I think it will be a bit stink for all those who wanted to do secret santa and noe can't because things have come up to see and hear of people getting packages.

I personally want all of you to do it still. Even though I can't, it will still make me happy to see you guys get all excited about your gifts you're sending each other.

This is the first year I get to participate. I'll be really disappointed if we just do Christmas cards. Don't kill my hopes and dreams of being a Secret Santa!

I want to really bad. I want to say I can and I will. But I dont even have a real address at this point. But I am more worried that I wont have the the money to get cool gifts and whatever i get will be subpar. This would be my first year too. I mean is there a price bracket?

There's no price limit and I'm sure you could make a cool gift like one of those amazing cardboard costumes you make for your amazing parties that you're always going to. Or some drawings.

I definitely want to do it and am doing it. What do you guys think about maybe all of us trying to do a Homemade Secret Santa, so the money isn't such an issue, unless you get someone where you have to ship internationally. But if we made it homemade maybe a international package wouldn't be as much? I don't know? I just hate that people have to drop out over money I mean, all of us are creative. We all have books that we liked, but could surely give to another Cultie. We all have a pen and paper to write a special Christmas letter. I've seen to much creativity on this forum, for us not to be able to make things for one another. I know I for one would love to receive anything handmade from another Cultie. I know there are some on here who can bake, cook. You could send a nice dozen of your famous cookies or candies. I make a lot of handmade gifts at Christmas time and love to do it. Christmas gift buying has kinda gotten out of hand in my opinion. Well, anyways, I wish we could do something along these lines so that everyone who wants to participate can. I'm in and staying in

I say no way on the homemade. If you want/need to do homemade, go for it, but I don't have the time or the creativity for that. Those of us who can afford to spend some money and want to spend some money should be able to.

Oh yeah, and I'm not crafty or timehappy enough to do homemade gifts, it's shop stuff from me.

I agree that if you have the money and want to spend that you can. I'm talking about the ones who are dropping out due to lack of funds. Christmas gifts are all about the thought behind it anyways in my opinion. But, I don't think that if you are lacking funds, you cannot participate. (I am not trying to cause any problems) I was just trying to make a suggestion for those who are wanting to participate, but don't have the funds, may have another option. I don't money should be a deciding factor for if you can do this. I just like everyone to be involved that can and don't like to leave people out. Anyhow, just my thoughts on this and thought I would try to help out with those who have dropped out. And like I said, we all have books we have read and could pass along to another Cultie and everyone can write a nice letter, bake some cookies or make candies, so you don't have to be that creative really. But it's whatever everyone agrees on, I don't mean to push this on anyone. Like I said, Im more than happy to receive handmade from anyone who cannot afford to spend the money on a gift for me.

One of the reasons (but not the only one) why I've dropped out is that last year my package was sent three times before it actually got here. I wouldn't like to make anyone go through that horror again.

But it got to you eventually, didn't it? And I was able to send you a package with pretty much no fuss a little while ago. You should do it.

The second one did. I'm pretty sure Alecia sent a package that's forever roaming the seas of undelivered gifts.

That is what I remember- shit is a mess in your country and the mail isn't being delivered properly.

I know there are two cards sent by me floating around somewhere for you that were never delivered, but you got the last one fine.

It started in January actually. I think it had more to do with heavy snowfalls and blocked roads.

But. I just can't do it this year.

And yes, those cards still piss me off. And those sent by Jaz. And Chenoa's Valentine package. I could scratch someone's face for not getting that. That's when I made another complaint. I can't complain about letters, because they're not tracked, but I can (and I do it) about packages. Nobody cares, that's all.

I got a topless picture (among other innocent things) once in international mail and when the customs officer saw it, she closed the envelope and said 'It's fine, you can go.'
