I agree with the no set list of gifts. I do like an idea of including something handmade though. Even if you have not a creative bone, the handmade could be handwritten note if nothing else.

Whoever I get will for sure be getting quality locally handmade candy. I won't be the one handmaking it, however. I will be buying it from the nice people that put it in the store after someone else handmakes it.

I don't think we need any instructions. Everyone has given gifts to people before, everyone knows how to give something thoughtful to a friend. Even five year old's know how to do that.

I think we need to get on it soon. I like the idea of not having limits on what to send but I also thought it was nice to have some sort of idea of what you could expect in receiving.

I want to get assigned my naughty boy or girl already so I can pick out the right lump of coal already!

We should probably wait a while longer before anyone is assigned their official giftee or anything.

We are still three months out from Christmas and there are some members that don't check in that often anymore but we would all welcome to join in if they came along and signed up.

I think we should leave it open for sing ups for at least a week or two since the ball got rolling so early.

Or someone toss out an acceptable cutoff date?

Oh, we're well in advance of assigning people. W can have a couple weeks at least. This all is just prelim stuff.

I am all sorts of exited for this, And nervious. Giving gifts has always made me nervous. I have that fear that someone will be let down. And giving books is just hard, but chances are there will be some strange book thrown in there.

I've treasured anything I've ever gotten from anyone at the cult.

Except for that scorching case of herpes. That I most certainly do not treasure.

So do I. My mum actually believes I'm in a pen pal society or something, and she says it's nice that people still send letters. I think that's beautiful and I keep everything I don't have around the room in a special box.

It's all fun and games until someone gets an inflamed-looking blister on their no-no place.

I honestly see you and Alecia as the same person in a sense. Like if Alecia was a dude she would be you and if you were a hot mama you would be Alecia. You both kickass at the gym, have awesomely strange taste in books and movies, and cooking...even if it's too healthy for my taste.

I'm not sure I would trust myself to raise children at this point. haha

I can't remember exactly, I think I made some crass comment about Girl Guides/Scouting leaders and didn't realise she worked and passionately campaigned for them. I did apologise but the damage was done!
