Tea-riffic!
Bump!
I just tried the liquorice tea bag that's been in my work pedestal for about 5 months. It was disgusting
Anyone been drinking any good tea lately?
Yess! I forgot about this thread.
I found some awesome blends lately (with black tea, so they're yucky for you, Hattie). 1001 Nights, Exotic Mango and Blackberry/Strawberry/Raspberry/Cranberry.
1001 Nights has black Ceylon tea, orange and cherry bits, orange blossom, jasmin and rose petals. Exotic Mango is a Ceylon blend with mango, Indian fruits (they don't say which) and sunflower petals.
I think that Lipton is trying to get an upscale type line.
The Mango blend smells and tastes surprisingly wonderful.
I like their pyramid White tea pomegranate.
I had an osmanthus green tea the other day and the teas we have at work are pretty good.
Numi teas in Gunpowder Green, Breakfast Blend, Jasmine Green, Lemon Chamomile, Moroccan Mint(my favorite), and an Earl Grey.
I wish Owl would come back.
This is why we can't have nice things.
Me too
She was supposed to send me a drawing for my bday that I was looking forward to. Aside from being greedy she was pretty cool.
I drink a London Fog almost every day. Earl Grey, vanilla powder, and milk foam.

I must have missed the greedy part?
owl is/was cool, but I don't know what you mean by that exactly?
you make this yourself? sounds delicious
you make this yourself? sounds delicious
Never heard of that. I have to try and make that! Yum.
Found this:
Recipe
16 oz of milk. (2% or whole)
1 shot of vanilla syrup per 16 oz of milk
1 bag of Earl Grey tea
1/2 cup boiling water
[edit]Procedure
Brew a small amount of Earl Grey tea. Add about ½ cup of boiling water to a mug along with a bag of Earl Grey. The result is an Earl Grey tea concentrate. Let steep for 2-4 minutes to achieve optimum flavor.
Heat up milk. Access to a steamer is preferred.
Add the vanilla syrup. (adjust according to taste)
or
the crazy complex version (at least to me):

*I hear they make this at Starbucks.
It's a vanilla chai latte almost sorta.
This is why we can't have nice things.
I have a chai latte problem.

hahaha that was a typo on my part. I was really tired and I was trying to say something about me being greedy, complaining about not getting my gift from her.
I thought you meant maybe greedy as in she took all our love and ran away.
Depends where you get your chai lattes. They're both just tea lattes, though, so you're correct. I like chai every so often but I prefer a lavendar/peppery Earl Grey as opposed to drinking what tastes like a cheap clove cigarette (again, depenging where you get your chai.)
Although, lately I have in fact been adding half a scoop of David Rio sugar free chai powder to my london fogs instead of vanilla.
I used to get earl grey teapuccino's at argo tea but now I don't work near one I'm having withdrawals
I learned how to brew my own chai, mix all the ingredients myself and stuff, some years back and I have never found a pre-made chai that was good enough since.
Bump!
Do you guys like mulled wine? I found a fruit tea that sort of tastes like it. (Unfortunately it is non-alcoholic).

I've got a box in my desk to deter me from buying coffee. It's nice.
Never tried mulled wine. But will now. Sounds like warm Sangria.
Pretty close, although I don't really like Sangria much.
mulled wine is the best thing to have when it´s cold outside. gets you warm and tipsy in no time. you can mix your own with some simple red wine, cinnamon, clove, sugar, some slices of oranges are nice too. warm it up, don´t boil it, enjoy !
I would have totally boiled it. Thanks for the heads up on that.
What's a good drink for a horse race tailgate? Tradition here is strawberries injected with tons of Amaretto. The steeple chase seems to fall on the first warm(ish) wave of good weather in April. It's all very spring timey with big hats and shennanighans.
Any other suggestions?

Didn't know I was 2 weeks preggie in that picture. Good thing I didn't get stinkin' drunk. Did break my finger badly riding the bull.
Eh. Was going for blue hair, but kept going up levels from orange to honey and then back to solid black. Wish I had pics of the pink streaks. Those were nice.
Looking good, Sema.
Thank you, sweetie pie!
That girl in the big floppy hat, stole the guy who asked me accompany me on some of the rides. While I broke my finger, she took him to jousting. Then they ran off, saying you should get that looked at, when I was by myself in tears of pain and the shit was crooked-sideways and swollen. She is a lawyer now in FL. I unfriended her on FB.
Those people make me tired. *except the tall girl, that's hugging me. We used to be tight. She can be cool.* I'm torn to babysit during the horse race. The babys are more mature than some of the adults.
I've aged a lot in the past 6 years. Especially since the baby. It's like night and day.

That's like 2008.
Oh this is the tea thread. I'm going to buy some really really good loose tea today, to put in that heart shaped infuser from Hattie. I'm going to nickname the event of making tea, "going to fiji" or bali. It's the closest thing I'm getting to a vacation, for a while.

You look pretty! But that swimming pool picture is terrifying. I'm not brave enough for tea.
isn't oi funny how time changes one?
You are just you, but then you look back and see that while you were always just you you were a lot of different manifestations of that you and you didn't even notice the changing at the time nearly as much as after the fact.
You are lovely looking, and that pool scare me too but I would dip in in given half the chance.
i also love how making tea is an event. Shows your imaginations along with the lot of the parent with a young one. lol.
not fixing my typos
will try to type slower in the future, however
That pool is amazing, I wish that was my backyard! Do you know where it is, Sema?
What about Mint Juleps or Pimm's for the horserace tailgate?
I'm feel the same way about the pool, ya'll. Would be gripping the side, the entire time to make sure it was still there. But, I'd take the dip. yolo, and all that.

My other favorite picture, the one on left with the balcony pool. I swear if I ever get rich, this is the place!!

The Pimm's sounds like a strong possibility. Thanks!
I tried a honey kumquat tea today....that sounds awfully dirty but yeah it was good either way.
Man, I miss you jazmyn.
Honey kumquat sounds good.. I've been drinking this pretty regularly, not sure if it's making a difference to my skin yet but it is very tasty. Hibiscus and rose and some other things

Yogi Teas are pretty good. I have been happy with the different detox ones of theirs I have tried.
They have one though...

Be very very wary of this one. It is brutal.
That lying whore of a box says it's gentle.
My thought s exactly.
Of course, I am talking about my neighbors kid that drank it, not myself at all.
because girls don't poop.
They have one though...

Totally going to try that now.
Wow, I haven't even seen that one before. Will note to avoid...
I also have the Yogi Decaffeinated Green Tea Kombucha at work, it's pretty good too. Been feeling kinda sluggish and generally unhealthy so I'm trying to keep off caffeine and cut down on sugars for a while. It's not easy but I think it'll be worth it.
I like the Yogi ginger tea. And I miss you all a million times. I sign in almost everyday but I've found it difficult to really engage here like before because I fall behind. By the time I sign on I'm mentally exhausted and anything I post feels like this....p4c n348q3mg/dlg;83#$@^$)*I)#{! But yeah the honey kumquat tea was delicious.
Your life is just really busy right now. Work. School. And I think you said a Love. On top of all the other smaller things.
We love to hear from you even if your are not caught up. Aren't I right guys????
I have been meaning to post a picture of some of that amazing lovely stuff you sent me, I guess I am coveting it and sort of not wanting to share in a way, but then I do want to share too, but just do not have camera options available to me during the day right now (my free time). I actually have it all still in the package, I won't let myself enjoy any of it yet until I praise how lovely it is in the picture thread. But I look at the package and smile everyday.
I do post but usually more significant posts are posted right after mine so yeah. But I'm glad you like your presents
Yeah. They are so great. you know me so well.
I love Jaz a million times. *Deathhug*
I like tea. But I prefer black tea with milk and sugar.
Herbal teas always smell better than they taste.
I love you too Sarah
I think I'm a freak of nature because I love herbal teas. My absolute favorite teas are cinnamon, mint, or ginger tea right now though. Ginger tea is amazing because it is spicy and sweet.
My favourite tea is Earl Grey with bluet petals or jasmin. That bergamot scent...fabulous.
Very true.
My mum drinks that Yogi brand. I think it's quite expensive over here so I haven't tried it.

So Moonlight was great, despite the fact that I was pretty worried about those raisins (I hate them). I had it with half a teaspoonful of sugar and it was really good. It smells amazing, too.
East Frisian: damn. I love me a strong tea, but this was just too strong. They say it should be drunk with milk and honey, but no, Irina has to be a badass and disregard that. So I drank it plain, with half a teaspoonful of sugar. Either drinking 4 teas today was a bad idea, or this is simply too strong without milk; my stomach started aching and I lay in bed only to fall asleep soon enough. Otherwise, it's great, it smells nice and it has a lovely flavour.
