I don't like hers as much. The color in Jes's is really nice.

This is my most recent...

"Start praying for a 12-car pile-up on the turnpike 'cause we're not exactly swimming in livers over here."
Johnny Cash looks badass!
No one really took a lot pictures this night but this is the one my buddy took right after I put corpse paint on

You look more like a still living Keith Richards.
Mom's gonna fix it all soon.
HAH!
You know in all the years I've been here I've never been sigged?

Is this in the wrong thread or am I just confused?

haha! So true, I had more blood/rotting flesh going on but like I said no one really took any pictures that whole night
Speaking of Keith I need to pick up his new book soon.

Naw, matthew.odonnell and I were discussing Bob Dylan being a Zombie and I went with it last saturday. Just showing him the outcome

My first, classic cherry creek flash cross, somewhat faded now. It's over ten years old. Totally wish I'd made some more changes, personalized it a bit more, but oh well. It needs retouching, the red and greens are about gone.
The plan is to finish my back with an entire Gothic facade, but my health has to be spot on before that's a possibility.
(P.S. The rest I've designed myself.)

Second piece, spring break 2000. I drew the art on 8 1/2 x 11 card stock, then my very trustworthy artist literally feehanded it with a Bic and went for it. Turned out awesome, I think.

Third piece, sort of an old school-ish sacred heart. I might never get that one re-touched. It was fucking painful and I have NO padding over my sternum. At all.

These last two were mine and Julia's wedding present to each other. They match and compliment each other, one being the inside of a Nautilus, the other the outside of a fossilized Nautilus. The water and fire basically overlay each other as well (to a point). We've always loved the symmetry and mathematical accuracy that appears in nature, and this little critter symbolizes that, using the golden spiral and golden ratio in its structure and growth pattern.
(Please excuse the distorted look of the pics, it was hard to contort properly in front of iSight.

I love the coloring on the last two Tony. So vibrant.

That shirt looks good on you, and I love the haircut.

I agree, I just thought it quite odd that two people on the same forum have basically the same tattoo. It's not a tattoo I would assume is particularly common.

I'm with you on that one. But then there are a lot of Ellis fans here.

You know, I think it's probably the most popular Ellis-inspired tattoo that i know of. Other than the two that have showed up here, i've seen probably four, maybe five other ones in australian tattoo magazines. And that's just in aussieland.
It is a great photo though, and it transposes well to the tattoo medium.

I guess if you're going to have an Ellis inspired tattoo its a pretty obvious image.

Yeah, for sure. It really does look great though. I wonder if anyone out there has a Chuck portrait.

Very nice, Tony. And matching tattoos! That's an awesome idea. I never would have guessed Julia to have a tattoo (or you for that matter) as you both seemed so clean cut. Good to know I am not the only one.
Mom's gonna fix it all soon.
Chest really does hurt like a motherfucker. I mean, it's completely easy to get through. I've never been in anywhere close to unbearable pain. Not even when it was near my shin or the inside of my arm, which is meant to be pretty painful. But suprisingly, towards the throat it kind of tickled. I don't havea throat tattooo, but my roses come up onto my wind pipe, but it tickled. It was down further that hurt. It kind of rattled up into my throat. it was a weird vibration thing.
Oh man, now I'm kind of rethinking my chest piece next week. How does it compare with the wrist?
You know in all the years I've been here I've never been sigged?
I'm pretty sure the ribs are supposed to be the worst.

I was aiming more upper sternum than ribs. It's just text anyway...

The throat/colar bone/ neck area is the most intense. Ribs are pretty tender, similar to the top of the foot. I actually operate a few tattoo shops. s13tattoo.com when you have some time.

The photo is from an Entertainment Weekly photo shoot. Not to sound boastful, we were the first to replicate it, unfortunately tattoo elitist all copy images to out-do one another. Then it trickles down the line & scratchers to to replicate the tattoo & not the image. It's a vicious cycle. I have most of my tattoos in tattoo magazines so even my original artwork pieces are being done by lesser artists.
My ankle was the worst, it was right on the bone and my tendon kept jumping back and forth. Collar bone was tender but it's that spot right in the middle that was the worse. Nothing i wouldn't do again, in fact i have to get a touch up so.
As your attorney, my advise to you is to start drinking heavily(er).-Tuffy
I have unfinished work running from under my sternum to above my navel. I may never get that one finished. It wasn't the worst pain ever, but I am monstrously ticklish it seems.
This is why we can't have nice things.
That's on my right shoulder blade upper trap.
((((Imagine a medusa tat right here))))
and on my left shoulder blade...
(((Go crazy and imagine a RANT tree Night Tattoo)))
I have a mermaid pin-up on my left shoulder but no good pics of it.

Okay, that is pretty badass.
I agree.... that is killer.

Love it.
Does anyone have any scarification?
I talked to my artist about it and there are all sorts of laws and regulations. But more loop holes than you can count.

matthew.odonnell....
the "tattoos suck" is awesome. Great cover up on the chest piece too.
I have a bit of the fever this week, sketching and google imaging like crazy.
Thanks, mate.
The colar bone didn't really hurt for me. I mean, you know you're getting tattooed no matter where they're working, but i don't think the pain is ever unbearable. Not for me anyway.
I think it's different for everyone. My brother has his feet, ankles, toes and ribs done and he said his most painful tattoo by far, almost to the point where he had to ask him to stop and come back another day, was his calf. so, i guess it depends on the person.
I love the question, "So did that hurt?"
For Piercings and tattoos. But in general the holes in my body are/were more of a pain that the ink in my skin. the piercing might only take a few seconds but cartilage takes months to heal.

Penis hurts the most, what I heard.

I can't even see the picture. It's just not showing for me. But doesn't Tobii have "What a wonderful world" tattooed on her side?
What's going on there, hey? hey, hey?
Link fixed.
This is why we can't have nice things.
Nice, Tuff. Where is it, and how big? And does it have anything to do with Tobii?
i smell a rat.

It's funny because your pig looks like he may be smelling a rat.
