HEY! It's time, guys.
Ok, i'm changing it up this year. I will moderate, of course. We are not doing it in the postman group, because no one goes in there. This will be seen by more people out here.
This is how it works. Since I am the group moderator for the postman group, I reserve the right to say, "I'm sorry, this is literally your second post, I don't think you've built up enough trust here to be mailing to people."
I RESERVE THE RIGHT TO NOT INCLUDE YOU IN THE FINAL LIST
If I am mistaken, and there is someone I say shouldn't be in, and lots of people disagree, I will change my mind. Maybe.
You will put a post in this thread saying "I want to be included in the secret santa swap." and "I will ship over seas." Or "I will not ship overseas."
If you sign up, you are committed. No backing out. Unless, of course, something is happening that is bad in your life, and you don't have time to get a gift. In that case, LET ME KNOW AS SOON AS YOU KNOW YOU ARE GOING TO FLAKE. I will have to get you replaced, or find some kind soul who will buy two gifts.

since it is verteran's day, and I'll have the day off, I will cut the list right then. No more adds on that day. I'll compile a list of everyone, and I will randomly (probably) assign you a secret santa. I will try not to give you someone overseas if you can't ship there. I will try not to give you someone you've already had before, (Tom)
The gifts need to be nice. Like, stuff you'd want. Not just like, dumb stuffed animals from your house or garage sale shit. You need to put some time, thought, and MONEY into this. You can make stuff if you wish. Be specific to what the person likes. If you don't know what they like, do a little snooping or searching around, and I'm sure you can find out. I'm going to spend like, at LEAST 20 bucks on mine, just because I think that's fair, and nice.

ok, one more thing.....when i make the list, It's going to be like this:
Jane s -----> ships to Fano. Fano will not know who is sending to him until he opens the box.
Fano ------> ships to Alecia. She will not know who is shipping to her until she opens the box.
Alecia -----> ships to Levi. He will know, because he's the moderator and will assign himself someone.
what I'm saying is that it's not like, Fano ships to jane and jane ships to fano. It's more a chain than a swap.

Things were more than a bit chaotic in my life last year and I didn't give the attention/effort such a thing deserves. This year's gonna be pretty crazy too, so I don't want to fail two years in a row. I've already sent packages this year to several peoples, so that'll do me fine.
However, I'd be happy to write Ribald Christmas poetry based on photos of what people get.
Mike, I have something I bought and have been meaning to send to you for MONTHS. It's not a big thing, and it certainly wasn't expensive, but it reminded me of you and I just had to get it.
