I ask because my mom has a very sensitive system and skin. When she was younger she had a problem with the sun because she would break out in horrible blisters and rashes whenever exposed to it, but after a while she found it was dependent on the products he was using- anything with weird perfumes or non natural ingredients (lotions and soaps and stuff) if she had them on her skin she was fine until the sun hit her and then she would swell and rash up horribly.

She figured out that she had to be very careful that the hygiene products she used were completely free of any weird artificial ingredients and then the problem stopped.

on friday evening, about 7pm, I was just sitting in the car minding my own business when two dudes on the street started mouthing off at each other, then squaring off, then throwing punches and ultimately wrestling each other into the street, hitting the front of the car on the way down. one of the guys had a friend with him but he just stood there watching, pretending nothing was going on. it eventually petered out, one dude had the others blood all over his shirt and they walked off their separate ways. bizarre.

Thanks Pepper. The doctor thinks it's from the anti-depressants I'm on, I'm on a high dose and photosensitvity is one of the side effects. In a way it's good because I can start weaning off them earlier.

The cold and wet Monday morning drive to work begins.

I am still here. I saw I was mentioned about 400 posts back. It has been a very long weekend. My son has had a weird medical condition that kept him out of school, so I had to make up about 23 hours of work this weekend.

I am now the treasurer of the non-profit feminist bookstore that Portlandia films in. I have been on the board for a while, but I just realized that that is probably the "cool" factor. I don't know. It's late. I never get a moment of time to myself (especially with a computer) unless I stay up until 2am. But I get up at 6:30, so that can't happen too often.

I miss all of you. I hope I can get some time to catch up soon.

This will be nothing to Americans but I was VERY excited to have a pumpkin spiced latte on my way home today! Coffee #1 are the first place I've ever seen serving such an American sounding drink and it was delicious. I might get another one this week.

I was thinking more about how they are available in Starbucks in the US but never here. I see people talk about them on the internet and stuff and I always wish we had them here! We're denied so many flavours you guys have. So this made my day!

I guess pumpkin would be an americanish flavor. I generally only drink black coffee. I had one of those last year and it was pretty good as was the gingerbread latte, but really overly sweet and syrupy for me.

I read somewhere once that Sage is the official spice associated with american food.

I will bring them back. I am in a SHIT mood right now and trying to set up a post on my work computer is a pain in the ass. So I will figure outthe problem then bring it back dont worry.

I don't really ever go to Starbucks or even buy flavored coffee. Mostly because I can't afford a drug habit. But once, I went with a friend and they ordered something really weird, like a Strawberries and Creme frappuccino with some shots of other stuff... like hazelnut syrup I think... and it ended up tasting sooo good. Like Cap'n Crunch cereal in a blender with whipped cream on top. So you know... super good if you don't gag at the idea of sucking up cups and cups of sugar.

America's awesome.

Guy's I just have to say I fucking adore my sister so much and I miss her to death. We haven't had much time at all, save for a couple phone calls, since early summer. She is one of the few people that quells this fucking loneliness and I need her.

She came to pick the baby up and I am washing the dishes and she comes up behind me and starts yanking on my skirt going "ooohhh It's Sparkly!" then when I turn around and yell at her not to pull the thing off she gets all giddy about my T-shirt (the Between the Covers one) first person to instantly get the shirt and demands to know where I got it, next she walks in the living room and goes "Oh! we are eating those right!!!!??? What are they, catfish???? We are so eating them!" yanking my own joke out from under me before I can even tell it.

Then she went and bought me beer.

I don't think I could survive this world with knowing her.

I was thinking about it and I really like the way when autumn gets here Americans celebrate death, then Give Thanks and then celebrate the Light returning. I wonder how much other people think about it that way.

It looks like I'm seeing my former classmate who moved to Art School on Friday. This is probably going to be yet another pseudo-date where neither of us dares do anything, because he's too shy and I'm too shy when I'm around him and we both just suck at this. Besides, I'm kinda over the crush now. It didn't work out for 3 years (since we started college), it won't now. Nevermind, I still kinda miss him and would like to talk to him, because after all he's the only person to have ever made me a surprise portrait, so yeah.

Why don't you just tell him you like him?

Just say "I really like you." or something. Worst that can happen is he doesn't like you back that way but at least you would have discovered that by making an effort.

I hurt my leg last night drunkenly jumping over the patio gate at Buffalo Wild Wings because the only exit out there was a fire exit. All day i've been trying to figure out why my leg hurts and i remembered that. I wasn't even that drunk but i didn't want to walk back through the restaurant to go out the front door like some boob.

nothing so glamourous (or dangerous) I'm afraid. working as an office manager for a boutique printing company specialising in custom invitations for charity events, weddings, launch parties and things like that. i'm excited, they do really cool work for some cool people. and also No More Retail!

Now I just have to hand in my resignation and hope I can get away with 2 days less than 2 weeks notice.

He likes me too. He wrote me letters, painted me a portrait for my 20th birthday, came to "support" me as I was defending my thesis back in June, and a lot of smaller things. I'm just trying to be practical about it. He lives with his grandparents and a younger brother, I still live with my parents. And as much as I'd need someone this romantic, careful and everything nice, he's still a bit of a pansy.

But.. I do want to kiss him once, just to see how that feels. Will report back on Friday.
