PICTOBER ! Show us Halloween and Stuff !
Hahaha! Hey! Don't call her a fat!
Alecia, I never know what you sounded like, but can I just say, I really love your voice. It has this youthful happiness to it. It's lovely voice and I like hearing it.
I love your voice Alecia! Lovely!
Whatever Whore!
Yes. And your son is so cute!
I liked when he turned around all "Seriously Mom!?".
I get that a lot from my boys.
And your voice isn't anything like I imagined it, I'm not sure how I imagined it, but it wasn't like that. It really is young sounding.
You have such a cute kid!
^This. And an awesome cat.
What a sweetie. Bet all the girls crush on him.
So she doesn't just like him but she likes him likes him.
Nice voice, Alecia ! Also, he seems like a cool lad.

He is a cutie Alecia. You are gonna have to be beating the girls off with a stick with that one.
Whatever Whore!
Aw man! Everyone already got in the good compliments, Alecia.
Cool son. Great voice.
Don't really know about the name Brianica though...
Alecia really does have a lovely voicw, and son.
I find it original and interesting.

Pictures from a wedding a bit ago.

As your attorney, my advise to you is to start drinking heavily(er).-Tuffy
hahaha. Weirdly classy.

I let a friend do my hair cause I'm too stupid to make my hair all fashionable and stuff.
“if you want to be a bird,” you said once, “with colorful plumage and buoyant trills, you must also be ready for hollow bones."
it looks very pretty Cam, but your hair always looks amazing. what did she do to it?
here's me:

and my new favourite sweater:

saying 'Cheers' to all you Culties out there. TGIF!

i approve of that sweater.
Drinks for everyone.
As your attorney, my advise to you is to start drinking heavily(er).-Tuffy
kit, that sweater is the fucking bomb
blow out, and then used a straightener to lightly curl some parts, then pinned my bangs back. I normally just get out of bed and brush it (or don't) and go about my day.
“if you want to be a bird,” you said once, “with colorful plumage and buoyant trills, you must also be ready for hollow bones."
The cult women are all so bloody stylish and good looking. I heart you guys.
alecia is one classy board how could she ever have kids who are not just cute and adorable.
and my new favourite sweater:

saying 'Cheers' to all you Culties out there. TGIF!

with that sweater guys will never look you in the eyes again.
Awesome sweater, Kit! And I love how you can pull off the red lipstick.
Red lipstick has always been my favourite. I stopped wearing it for a while, but I've been watching a lot of Mad Men lately, I guess it sunk in.
haha!
they'll be watching themselves in the eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeye
of the tigerrrrrrr
Yeah Kit, you definitely are pulling the red lipstick off. It washes me out too Alecia, but in my twenties that was all I wore. Now I wear colors that match my natural lip color.
Whatever Whore!
I avoid strong colours like red because they simply don't go well with my complexion and I think they make me look "easy". That's why I have so much admiration for ladies who can pull it out and still look classy as hell.
Then again, I don't wear lipstick almost at all. I have a shimmery coral one which I use over plain balm, but it's usually honey&milk or tinted lip balm for me.
So I told the wife Sarah's and Tuffy's idea, and this is what she came up with...

In the end, it turned out to be almost as much as the Pottery Barn one (and many late nights were involved) but I think it turned out great. And the first thing the boy said is, "I want to be Stitch for Halloween."
Seriously, how come everyone on the Cult has freaking adorable children? The costume helps with the adorable quota in every picture, but still. Cute kid there.
Amber, isn't it tough to watch your boy play football? It strikes me as a bit violent, whenever I watch it.
Yes. It is Irina.
But what do I do? It is violent and dangerous, but it is a healthy outlet. boys are, in general, violent and dangerous by nature. I don't mean they all attack things, but aggression is the nature of testosterone.
Zachariah is prone to temper tantrums, all his life, since babyhood. Since he has been in football he hasn't had any sort of melt down at home at all.
The thing really that I worry about is possible injury to his brain. He is very intelligent, identified as gifted in more than one subject, so I worry about the possible trauma, even if he were of average or lower intelligence I would worry about that mostly.
But on the other hand he has two older brothers, keeping his own is no new game to him. As far as broken bones and stitches and sprains and whatnot... I have three boys and nephews and cousins and everybody's friends and on and on... These will happen regardless of sports... How many broken bones and sutures and sprains and lumps and bumps and dislocated joints and accidentally pulled out teeth and impaled body parts and road burnt bodies I've seen already out of nothing more than day to day life? I'm toughened up to letting him, and Gabriel, play the sport they want to play without too much worry that anything outside of normal boy problems will happen.
Fair enough. I was thinking about brain trauma, too. Boys will break their bones anyway, but that's more serious.
That being said, I've never sprained or broken anything and never had a concussion. Never had surgery either.
I have sprained my ankles, both of them, a good half dozen times. Fell and knocked my front teeth out as a kid. Never broke anything until I was grown- my finger/hand a couple of years ago and never had it set just pushed through it, and then my wrist this past summer. Both breaks were on my right hand, and both still give me pain. And I am right handed. Had a concussion a a year or two ago, slipped on a bit of tomato, did the spread eagle splits and whacked my head on the kitchen table, when I came too the table was in half and I couldn't form complete sentences.
the most major things with the kids, but by far not the only things;
Gabriel has broken his left arm twice - jumped off a slide, compound fracture requiring surgery just shy of his growth plate beneath his shoulder ($10,000 bill) and the wrist, ice skating.
Trevor hasn't had anything too major, except a lacerated eyeball and sprained wrist.
Zachariah had stitches in the middle of his forehead when he was ten months old (Gabriel set him down and he toppled over and hit the corner of the wall and spliting his head open- in Gabe's defense, Zach had been walking for over a month, so he should have stood and balanced fine) Then stitches again on his brow when he was eight after whacking into a fence.
Lily was knocked over by her brother and fell on a glass left on the floor, staples in the back of her head (by far the scariest injury, considering what could have happened had she fallen at a slightly different angle and the glass broke and went an inch over into her neck) and she fell out of our tree six feet the second week of kindergarten breaking both wrists.
By far the most bizarre injury was my nephew- several years back Gabriel came running home from the park hysterical with nephew in tow, who was doubly hysterical. Kids front adult tooth was pointing straight up towards his nose, and bloody and all kinds of wrong looking. It is hard to describe, but, as I said, he his front tooth was still attached, the root was still embedded in the gum... but you SEE the root, and the tooth itself was pointed up towards the nose. After the emergency room doctor set it as best as possible we finally got the story; he was riding his bike under the basketball hoop down at the bottom of the park, which happened to be one of those hoops you could adjust the height on, the height was set to the lowest it could be. He rode under it looking up as he did and his tooth was caught on the net and yanked almost out, not all the way though, just enough to be bent at the most fucked up angle ever to screw with everybody's head.
A lacerated eyeball omfg. The nephew's tooth story is damn scary.
My sister chipped one of my front teeth once standing up as I was crouching. It's still visible. Then again, I am the dumb girl who burnt her thighs with hookah coals. The scars were horrible for a few months, than plain ugly for the next year, and now you can't tell they're there if you don't know what to be looking for. Only the one next to the bikini line is a bit more visible.

In the end, it turned out to be almost as much as the Pottery Barn one (and many late nights were involved) but I think it turned out great. And the first thing the boy said is, "I want to be Stitch for Halloween."
OHMYGOD OHMYGOD OHMYGOD.
You have the best most talented wife ever, that costume is seriously fantastic! I LOVE LOVE LOVE it.
Your boy is so bloody adorable, I want to pick him up and give him the biggest squishiest hug and smooch ever.
This makes me so happy.
Homemade things are the best. They're symbols of love, and your boy is obviously very loved.
Thanks for all the kind words. And thanks for the great idea!
That Max Costume FTW.
Tuffy the Dump Truck may rarely increase the risk of a heart attack or stroke. The risk may be greater if you have heart disease or increased risk for heart disease (for example, due to smoking, family history of heart disease, or conditions such as high blood pressure or diabetes), or with longer use. Tuffy should not be taken right before or after heart bypass surgery. Also, Tuffy may infrequently cause serious (rarely fatal) bleeding from the stomach or intestines. This effect can occur without warning symptoms at any time while taking Tuffy. Older adults may be at higher risk for this effect. (See also Precautions and Drug Interactions sections.) Stop taking Tuffy and get medical help right away if you notice any of the following rare but serious side effects: bloody or black/tarry stools, persistent stomach/abdominal pain, vomit that looks like coffee grounds, chest/jaw/left arm pain, shortness of breath, unusual sweating, weakness on one side of the body, sudden vision changes, slurred speech. Ask your doctor if Tuffy is right for you.
seriously, it couldn't be any more perfect

Look at this gorgeous card I got from Irina!
