Pete Rose
Pretty good interview with Pete. Might just be of interest to the baseball fans on here, but thought I'd throw it out there in case anyone else wanted to check it out.
no embedded video working so here's a link: http://sports.yahoo.com/video/player/news/Graham_Bensinger_InDepth/21661...
That's cool.

I don't get why him working for a casino is so terrible. The guy's got to make a living somehow. The only thing he was really ever qualified to do was hit baseballs and they took that away from him.
I thought this thread had something to do with him dying.
well, it could. Eventually.
I was in Vegas one time and Pete was there signing whatever, but for a price. He actually charged some probably 8-year-old kid for an autograph. All I could think was, that guy is cool.
What 8 year old is even going to know who he is to bother buying an autograph off him? Maybe if Pete dressed up as Spongebob.
That 8 year-old's dad turned around and put that card or ball on ebay. Sports stars know where their autographs go.
When I was eight, I knew three things about baseball. Johnny Bench had a net named after him, Don Drysdale was a guy on the Brady Bunch, and Pete Rose was God.
Let the man in the HoF already.

I don't get why you'd have an 8 year old get it for you though. it's not like the kids getting a discount because he's a kid or anything. maybe if the guy knows he'd get all whimpering fanboyish if he got face to face or something, i dunno.
A Pete Rose dressed as Spongebob autograph is something I would pay for.
Four thousand, two hundred, fifty six baseballs.

Awesome.

Have you seen my baseball?

The 11th is the 25th anniversary of him breaking Ty Cobb's record. The Reds were able to get permission to honor Rose at Great American Ballpark but he was already scheduled to sign autographs. At a gambling casino. Luckily, I guess, the casino let him out of the event so he can be there to be adorned.
Great player, but that's about it.
This has been another random act of nonsense.
