"Open" relationships
I found out last night that my brother is sleeping with some chick named Carina and his girlfriend of 4 years apparently knows all about it and doesn't mind very much.
What. The fuck.
There is hope, but not for us.
Well if she doesn't care what else is there to say.
It's more like, what do you guys think about open relationships? Have you ever been in one? Are they better or worse than traditional monogamous relationships.
Also the way I found out about this in a most disturbing way.
Jason: Well strangers walking in is one thing...your brother walking in is another.
Me: That's extremely true.
Jason: Although I've been a little unnerved ever since I walked in on him and Carina.
Me: Yeah...wait, what.
Jason: Yeah, they were naked...it was pretty uncomfortable.
Me: WHAT!?
Jason: Oh you know about their whole..."arrangement"...
Me: NO I DON'T!!!
There is hope, but not for us.
It is just a relationship. I don't see strong bonds ever being made from a relationship like this. If anything it is one of those things where one or the other finds a better offer and decides to pounce and leave the other behind....in the long run.
I've never had one. But I don't know if I would want something like that. That would just depress me some. Now sleeping with a woman i'm not dating and then sleeping with another woman that i'm also not dating a short time afterwards...that is a different story. I'd like that to happen more often.
I never fully believe people that bring up that kind of response "Oh you didn't know?". I truly believe that they knew you didn't know and just tossed it out because they wanted to spill the beans or just be the gossip whore.
Dammit. People in the world just don't care for anything anymore, except TV drama and sex.
Being in an open relationship is your partners way of saying they're not satisfied with just you

That's usually how most of my conversations go.
At least there are only a few faster ways to totally fuck up your life.

I like when somebody tries to pull that on me, but I already knew way before that person.

I disagree, I accidentally spilled the beans on something major, possibly life changing to my cousin, I just forgot I was talking to my cousin.
Back to the topic at hand, one of my ex's and I were in an semi-open relationship for a couple weeks because we had a long distance relationship, but after I went on one date (if you could call it that) she changed her mind.
Think for yourself. Question Authority.

Exactly. Who're you, Jane, to question the beauty of their relationship.

She's probably seeing someone else too.
Anyway, in that kind of case, there's always someone who gets shafted more than necessary, and not the pleasant way.
Where is the love ?

Dammit. Shadov, you need to write an Autobiography.
By the way was that his girlfriend is fucking a younger copy of him, or he was?

Open relationships work for some people. I still ahvent figured out if humans are meant to be monogamous and mate for life. Isnt monogamy more of a religious thing than a natural thing? Like ducks. Mallard ducks mate for life. When thier mate dies, they dont get another. And thats instinct. Do humans have instinct? They have free will... If it works it works.

Ducks don't have free will?

I once offered a piece of brown bread to a duck, and it stuck it's head up and walked away all posh like. I felt stung. Then it took white bread from some scruffy kid down the way. I got so annoyed.
I was offered to join a threesome the other night...with a skank and one of my best friend's girlfriend. I declined, but now wish I hadn't.
But I won't lie to you, I wouldn't know what to do in a threesome. Like...who do I please? Where do my hands go? My lips?
What's going on?
Being impressed by threesomes is like being impressed by Motley Crue.
I'd be glad you didn't.

I've been in a handful of multi-partner experiences, and they've all been somewhat uncomfortable and embarrassing.
My only multi-partner experience was when I decided to use my right, and left hands. Fucking vicious, I'm telling you.

No, I really honestly didn't know. And he thought I did. He changed the topic pretty quickly after that.
Grady has said several times (speaking in a general way, not referencing herself, as far as I know) that it takes an extremely emotionally mature person to have casual sex. I seriously doubt she is that person. Anyone who has ever hung around with them (Sara and Jeff know what I'm talking about) know that John and Grady are disgustingly in love. They've been together 4 1/2 years and they still nuzzle in public and coo and all that gross shit that most people stop doing after 6 months together.
I said to Jason, "All that's going to come of this is Carina is going to fall in love with him and he'll have to choose between the awesome new sex and the comfortable old sex." He agreed.
There is hope, but not for us.
Well for the time being he has both.
That and a soap opera life. For sure.

Fucking idiots.
